CMPS trouble
I have a little intermittent miss when the car is cold and at around 1200rpm it it runs ruff. As the car warms up it basically goes away. They other day I pull the codes for first time. Got 11(Camshaft position sensor) and 21(ignition signal circuit). I cleared it and drove a few blocks and check for codes again. This time it was clean(55). Today I check for codes again and 11 is back.
I check the CMPS connector and it is clean. I added a test ground wire to the distributor and no difference. I open the distributor to see if the rotor plate of the CMPS is not dusty for some reason. It was clean but have a few minor scratches on it.(straight lines across) Have no idea how it got there. None of the slots looks damaged.
Could this scratches cause a malfunction or is the sensor on it's why out?
Is the sensor repairable?
I have in the last week replaced distributor cap, spark plugs, oil, filters
injectors read between 11.7-12.1ohm

yeah that's possible! Spray the wheel and optical pick up with some circuit board cleaner! By the way, what condition is your timing belt in? You may what to inspect it and the distributor helical drive gear for security and ensure that the drive pin isn't loose or worn allowing the drive gear to move, causing your timing to jump around....
