Went to the dealer to get a window reg and..

My rear drivers side window regulator went out on Monday so I went to the dealer to buy a new reg and I saw this for less than blue book.

I figured that It would be a nice compliment to the Maxima

Buy it! Supercharged 3.3 liter VG awesomeness! >_>

Oh but do check it's carfax used dealers love selling used cars that have been in accidents and not mentioning that the thing front ended a tree.

About half as much as my mom paid for a used 04 Xterra with a NA VG33 with 17K. Sounds like a good deal. You only got 6K till the 60K though, better start making your shopping list.

Isn't everything at a dealership? Attention to detail sells better than a quality product. I should know, I painted a building that I thought looked fine because my boss said "people will pay more to rent this place if we put a fresh coat on it".

Yeah I got that too.

It wasn't as clean as the pics. I did a quick detail under the hood when I got it home. The most surprising part (especially with todays prices) the salesman filled the tank while I was filling out the papers. I didn't think that kind of service existed anymore.

it's the little things that make customers come back. businessmen like nothing better than a 'regular'.

yeah, to my knowledge including the BMW dealer where i work at the salesmen/women fills up your gas tank after buying the car. my sales guy did this after i signed the papers and then had the car detailed for me. other than that great buy, have fun with it and enjoy it.

Yeah I think they filled the Xterra when we bought it. It's a common practice I guess. However it doesn't really matter because in the end you still end up paying for the car and it's them you are dealing with so they are still profiting even if they give you the impression that the gas is free with the car.

Thats a generic buy here pay here. If I went to a place called el cheapo rides (a real dealership here) I wouldn't expect a fill up, my mom bought her Xterra through a big dealer that has new Jeeps, Mitsubishis, Suzukis, Nissans, and etc. Jon I'm pretty sure got this at a Nissan dealer seeing as he was going in for a reg.

Those are nice projects to tinker with (3.3 S/c) cause they run very little boost in Oem trim. Plenty of room for improvement. That would be the best engine for my 86.5 Hardbody pick up...

And nice ride, Jonman! Forced induction can be fun. The first thing I would do, personally, is add a UDP to the blower.

now i dont understand udp's wouldn't that destroy his low end power which he would need to compensate for the weight of the truck?

A UDP would be a bad idea as it would slow the SC down. Now a smaller pulley on the supercharger, that is something I have already considered. But keep in mind this is my daily driver and fuel milage and reliability are factors. I will probably only do a Nismo intake and a better flowing exhaust. (yeah that's how the Maxima started and look how that ended up)

Nismo intake would be a waste of money I'd think.
