Injector Swap

I need to replace one of my injectors with a new one. But I don't have $100 to spend on a new one so I want to replace one on my '94 GXE with one I took off of "91 SE. They are a bit different but I figure they should work the same. I realize I'll have to switch one of the harnesses but I'm just looking for confirmation that I won't run into any technical problems otherwise.

Top one is from my GXE, bottom from SE.

Just make sure you put new fuel hose on those too.

I don't see what it could hurt they are the same size just different plug. Just make sure you test them out switch the plug and new orings. You should be fine.

if your old rail is all good, I would swap all of them over along with their harnesses.
if you look at the rails you see they have different feed points, I doubt it would make any difference, but you never know.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. No reason why I can't do that. Thanks.

Alright, I found out that those are completely different. Injectors and rails, both are incompatible with one another, even if they look similar, so yeah, complete swap is the only way to go here.
