I like the smaller size of the gxe fogs.
They remind me a lot of what's on my Pathfinder also... (not mine, but basically identical to mine)

Im curious whether the glass would be removable (so I can add yellow capsules) on the GXE fogs. Ive tried several different ways with the SE fogs and I cannot get the glass alone off. Too bad, too, since Ive got some capsules that would fit inside them perfectly

the stock SE ones?

there are 2 phillips screws behind the housing. undo those and the glass falls out revealing a H3 bulb.

LOLOL. Im talking about removing the glass from the reflector itself. I know the reflector + glass removes from the housing with those screws. Im saying id like to seperate the glass from the reflector and add yellow capsules.

Its possible to remove the H3 bulb holder and add capsules. But once you move that original bulb holder; there goes the beam pattern..

Generic GXE fogs arrived today. They are glass, lens has "Luxpro" etched into it, sticker says "Eagle Eyes." They appear to be good quality.

Here's a comparison to the OEM SE fog:

To answer DMad8724's question the lens seems to be crimped onto the reflector, it doesn't seem practical to try and separate the two.

My question: does one of the lights need to be inverted? How to tell which one?

foglight glass is always the same for both sides

ie you dont order foglight glass L and R, you order 2 of the same part number..

there is an "up" right? I think it matters which way they go in... since the light is intended to be aimed downward only.

Also does the SE fog have a plate inside it at the same height as the GXE fog's total height? Kinda looks like the actual light-output zone is the same size.
