How do you get the Fan control, A/C, and Heater unit out? I want to change my bulbs out in it to L.E.Ds.

if your S12 already has a VG, then you could just remove the intake manifold from the VG in the maxima, and put the intake from your S12 on it.. i assume everything on the S12 is properly set up and was running until you needed a new motor?

I dont have my old plenum it was stolen i have to use the maxima plenum. i think i could run the plenum with the maxima ecu and then just run the extra wires could that work?

I switched to 9007s (55w lowbeam) and use Sylvania Xtravisions. I don't like silverstars because they are tinted blue, which reduces light output.

Cruise Control and High Beams stopped working

I have a 1990 Maxima. This car has been in the family since it was new, I have been driving it since 1993 or so. I obviously like the car; I've replace the transmission 3X. I am looking for help in two areas.
Cruise Control stopped working. The light on the dash comes on and acts as if it is engaging, but it does not.
Also, my high beams are no longer working. When I turn them on, my lights turn off.

probably the switch. cuz the fuse runs both high and low beam, so it's not a fuse.

The switch will be $30 shipped to your location, unless you are in canada.

the c/c actuator under the hood may be bad..(trace the c/c cable at the throttle body back to a round looking thing on the passenger side on the engine bay, that is the actuator) look at the wiring harness going to the actuator, make sure it's hooked up and no broken wires.

i have a good actuator also if you want it..

I have recently had issues with my throttle body that have seem to have been corrected simply with adjustments. Cruise went out way before issues began. Could it be related? Sadly, I am looking for another car, just would like to fix what is inexpensive before I make it someone's hobby car. I have absolutely loved this car.

What kind of "adjustments" did you do?

if you want any parts, just pm me or post a request in my part out thread.

Adjustment was done by mechanic. I don't know what he did. Car was stalling if I didn't give it some gas.

He probably turned the iacv screw up to increase your idle, the iacv should have been cleaned.

Im looking for some lowering springs.

KSports 2.2" front 2" rear

Zenn 2" front 2" rear

Which one is better? Would that .2" more in the front make that much of a difference?

both are waay too low of a drop for these cars, you will incur bottoming over bumps, and steering geometry issues.

hmmm... well in that case, if Hectic doesnt get your springs, lemme know. Buying new struts/shocks would be the smartest thing to do also, but is it neccesary?

Most definitely necessary, don't bother putting drop springs on without a minimum tokico strut upgrade.

More info needed, like what do you plan to do with the suspension. Ive meet to many people that want to lower their cars on massive rims. i thought 16s looked big on our cars!

be prepared to have a ride that feels like mike tyson is punching you in the *** over every bump. (not to mention, the damage all that pounding does to the car)

91 Maxima - MT5 to AT ?

I have a 5MT in my Maxima at the moment, however the sycros are trashed and now the transmission is locked up. Sooo i started looking for another one, however they are apparently harder to find then i thought. I DID get another one however it was from a '92 with limited slip and my axles didnt fit. So back to the drawing board. Now i have aquired another '91 maxima (trashed in an accident) but the motor and transmission are in great shape, unfortunatly, its a A/T. now from what i have read id rather keep the MT but im totaly stuck now. Please let me know what if any ideas you may have about what i should do next. Convert to AT? sell the AT parts and keep lookin got a MT?

Any help is appricated!

One other thing, any ideas where i could post the parts i have that i want to get rid of?

all right guys, i'm back, and i'm still in oklahoma thanks to my maxima. been doing a lot of turd polishing (i'm 3rd owner). I did get a new climate control from "apostore" on ebay, first didn't work but they stand by their guarantee. I replaced my passenger side "a" arm or whatever bushing and lower ball joints on both sides in hopes of getting an alignment (also tossed on some kumho tires from an old ehonda of mine). The fellas at Tires Plus are now realizing I need to replace my inner tie rod and i would like to know if anyone has any experience or info on how to do this (my Chilton's Manual doesn't cover it). On the bright side my ride now has heat, and I have a new panasonic head unit on the way from cruthfield with adapter! (still going to have to replace the antenna). Anyhow I would appreciate your expert knowledge on the lower/inner tie rod situation. also pleas let me know what to expect to go wrong next (trans is good, struts have been done, new brakes, ball joints, climate control, HU, motor mounts, thermostat, and soon to come a new oil pan, just a shame the body isn't all that great). I honestly don't know what to expect if i attempt the inner/lower tie rods on my own, so pleas let me know if it's best to suck it up and pay somebody to do it for me

btw if anyone around okc needs stereo equip i have 2 older kicker 10" comps in a good condition box with older fosgate 360a2 amp and clarion mcd360 cross over i am looking to sell (i haven't bothered to tear apart the car to get the knob control from the front however)

all you need to finish the lsd trans swap is the axles from a 92-94 SE manual maxima, you will also need the hub/spindle assemblies from a 92-94 se maxima, though these do not have to be specifically from a manual se...Converting the car to an AT is going to be a royal pita, you will have to swap not only the trans, it will also require a auto radiator/entire wiring harness from the auto car, and the auto ecu and tcu <--( transmission control unit)

i hate black ice. let me start off with that. i was taking and exit this morning and slipped and hit the curb. luckly the curb is only 3 inchs tall.

now my steering wheel isnt center but the car tracks fine. i can still drive with one finger and the wheels look fine other than some scuffing on the driver side (curb hit side). the arm looks fine but i wont know 100% till its up in the air this weekend.

did i whack my alignment or can it be worse than that? and is it ok to drive for a week? the steering wheel is about 15 degrees off clockwise ( if that makes sence)

i appreicate the help
