Nevermind I looked around and found one. Another q, my glass is out on my driver side mirror can I just put another order another piece of glass for it, or do I need to buy a whole new assembly? I saw the glass on ebay, but I'm not sure how I would install it.

you should be able to pick up a used mirror for $25. they are easy to install.
the glass if sold by itself usually is attached with double sided tape, which means the loss of the heated element if yours had it.

Time to touch base again about my failed injector.
It didn't run. when OHM'd it showed not continuity. Then, suddenly, the second (not first) time I started it up today it runs FINE. Pulling the plug wire on that cylinder shows good injector in that cylinder.
damn. fast replies. i searched for it and came up with nothing. i think it might be too old. its the ks-rt30. and i tried using the stock wire colors to see which jvc wires they were connected to. but some of the colors didnt match up.

WTF?
Didn't change a damn thing.
don't have to. sometimes they "fix" themselves. but they still are typically out of spec on the ohms.

Where should i get a manual transmission for a 1993 gxe?? and how much would i be spending on this?
any 89-94 manual tranny will work. the 92-94 tranny is special (b/c it hooks up to a different engine from what your GXE has) but in order to accomodate it, you have to use the axles and hubs from the 92-94 m/t donor. if you use a VG 5spd tranny (89-91) you can reuse your a/t's axles.
keep in mind you'll need a shifter, gussets, engine/transmission spacer plates, flywheel, clutch, master cylinder, pedal, slave cylinder, piping, a weekend, and a hole saw to switch from a/t to m/t
check "capedcadaver's tranny swap blog" for more info. I did the swap in february on my GXE.

Thanks man. so if i got a manual tranny just 93 i guess, would i have to change all of the stuff you mentioned?

well any manual needs the stuff listed. the only specific thing is the hubs and axles for manual trannies 92-94 but the rest of everything i listed is still gonna be necessary regardless of year (pedal, mcyl, gussets, etc). and if you pull stuff off a parts car the VE30DE has a different flywheel bolt pattern, but you were probably going to get a new flywheel anyways... as well as a new clutch, unless the one you pull down is immaculate.
year really doesn't matter though for MOST things on 3rd gens. i think a "model variation" sticky would be nice to explain what changed each year and what the differences are between any given GXE and SE. anyhow, the 92-94 tranny will provide better traction b/c it has a viscous limited slip differential in it, as opposed to an open differential on the VG tranny.

ok, so were would the best place to go get this done? should i just go to the "neighborhood shop" or is this swap easy enough for me to get it done. And were would i find all the stuff i need shifter, gussets, engine/transmission spacer plates, etc.? Would they just come with the transmission i get?

you would have to consider the tools needed to complete the swap. alot of the special tools needed are mentioned in cape's thread, and you need to make sure you have the space for the job. also, consider this is more than a transmission job, where they charge around $300 or more to remove and replace a transmission. this is a full blown swap, and will require more $ to get them to do it.
my recommendation is to find a place like pull-a-part, a junk yard where you pull the stuff off of cars, and pay for the parts. or you can try to find a donor car with a manual. this is because you will have some experience pulling the stuff apart, and should have an idea on how to toss it together.
some of the bigger stuff can be got off ebay, but they want $500+ for a transmission(non-rebuilt), when you should be getting the same one for under $200.

you will be 10x better off finding a car that is already a M/T than to pay someone to do the swap.

89-91 has a lever between the drivers seat and drivers door.
92-94 has a button on the drivers door armrest's underside.
you may want to add you maximas information to your profile.

if your engine looks like this yours is a GXE since it's a 92-94. ALL maximas regardless if GXE or SE had this engine from 89 to 91.
ALL VEs are SEs
not all SEs are VEs, because the VE wasn't available until 92
ALL GXEs are VGs. period.
the ONLY exception is if you're out of your mind and swap a VE into a non-VE car but it's a ton of work, tho it has been done by 2-3 people that i know of.

My 1990 nissan maxima surges when idling in drive and gets no power and makes a fluttering noise like an exhaust problem. I dont think it has to due with the exhaust. What is the problem? If any body has any answers to my question pleae help email me at jromero0602@tmail.com

What is the Widest Fit for rims of a 93 Gxe?
could i fit 18 x 7.5 Offset : + 38 ?
you could put monster truck tires on this thing if u want
if u want the biggest size without mods id suggest stock size (rims do slow your car down) whether bigger or smaller everycar has a specific wheel size for optimum performance i think the 93gxe is between 16 and 16 1/2 anything smaller or bigger your loses power so if u wanna go big might as well go custom
this is why specialty shops exists

not only do heavy rims make you slower in a straight line they also make the car handle worse, because the rims are "unsprung weight" ie momentum that the suspension cannot control. there was that one thread yesterday about 9lb rims tho... i forget what size they are

If I put an aftermarket cd player in, is there a need to unhook the bose amp? and if so, where is the bose amp located
if you want to leave the bose speakers in, you will need to do a little work. the head unit(the new one) would blow the bose speakers through the door if directly connected. couple of options:get some rca male connectors (or buy a audio patch cable, and cut the ends off) and attach them to the car's speaker lines. then using the stereo's rca outs, hook it up. next option, get a line level converter, and follow it's instructions.
third option, and the most recommended, get new speakers.
to answer the Q about where the amps are, they are always beside the speaker they power. if you look in the trunk at the speaker, there is a black box connected to each speaker, and those are the bose amps for those speakers. the front ones are similarly placed in the door pannels up front.
final statement. do not use the head unit to try to power the bose speakers, bypassing the amps. the speakers will not survive.
Ok, then when I replace the door speakers do I need to take out the amps, or will it hurt anything leaving them in their?
Just wire around them.
the connectors at the amp have 4 wires. 12v+ 12v- and + - for speaker. just use the speaker ones (thinner than the 12v wires) and you can hook up your new speakers to them. that is how I did it basically.
