Premium Fuel Only?

Premium Fuel Only?
It seems that ever since I added the 91 octane gas, my car doesn't stall anymore. I don't mind good gas but it's $.92/L. Is there something that I can do to be able to run regular gas without stalling?

i'm assuming you have a vg30e considering you buy gas by the litre. the engine should run fine on regular. octane rating isn't going to cause the engine to stall anyway. look elsewhere for the cause.

the question really is how is the octane rating calculated where you live?
in the US it's calculated with this formula (R+M)/2=octane rating

I run my car (a vg30e) on medium grade (89 octane?) and I don't have any problems. It doesn't cost any more than regular unleaded (87) so that's what I buy.
Also, I've noticed that any grade other than premium is blended with "up to 10% ethanol"-- or at least it is around here. Could that be your problem? I've heard some cars don't do well with ethanol.
