Maxima Down=CTS-V UP!!!

Well, I was going my dads garage today to install my new CustomEnterprise.Com Front strut bar that arrived today, get the one for
2000-03 Max's they fit 3rd Gens to! As I start up the car I get a CEL on, & car is running rough at idle, I figuring it's a injector, 128,000K 94 GXE, well it was going in Monday Morning for New CV Axle assembly, drivers side, I will have the CEL diagnosed while it's in the shop, & post the outcome! Good News since my daily driver is down, I get to drive my 05 Cadillac CTS-V w/400HP & six speed tranny, I only have 6,400 miles on my Baby.......Hope it does not snow....(LOL)

haha, thought it was kind of odd that you had $90,000 to throw around with cars, and drove a 3rd gen around

Besides the fact your max in your sig is fricken sweet.

Yeah man, post some pics of the Caddy!

I like the CTS-V, those are the quick Caddies. I saw a used one at the dealership and thought about going for a test drive, but decided against it for fear of getting 86ed from the place... It is hard for me to believe that they actually put a manual tranny in a Cadillac.

What are you guys jealous or something?

I have a 3rd gen and it is my back up car. I have only driven it about 50 miles since the last meet in Seattle in June. I drive a 2006 Tundra double cab TRD 4x4. I wish they made those with a manual tranny.

I have bonded with both the Max & the Bad *** Caddy!!!

I used to have a spare car.
I will hopefully relegate the 3rd to toy status in the near future and pick up an I30 or Blazer for DD duty.

its just that it is hard for most people to believe something they can't see with their eyes. Congrats on having a nice car though, having a nice car after so many years of work must feel very rewarding (no ill will, i mean it). Must be a blast to drive, and a shame to see it garaged.

Just go to www.imageshack.com, they will host your pics, and you could put the non-believers on here to shame.. I mean, how much easier could it get? No rocket science involved. You must have a digital camera if you own a CTS-V, right?

Just got a call from my mechanic, the drivers new drivers side CV axle assembly is installed then he diagnosed the cel on the dash, he tracked it down to the #5 fuel injector, I knew I was running on 5 Cylinders Friday night! (LOL) exhaust pipe sounded like Put-Put-Put......He had to order a injector, so I looks like I will be driving the V for at least a few more days, we got about an inch of wet snow this morning, I just got done washing her down by hand, weather is dry for the rest of the week, Yipeeee!!!

Pretty clean

Btw, it's really not hard to post images on forums.. Just go to that link I posted and if you can register to a forum, you could definatly upload pics

Also, I would replace all the injectors while your mechanic is in there since they are known to go bad at high mileage and you don't want wanna pay for labor again.

Thanks for posting the pics of my vehicles for me, I will seek some lessons on posting pics from a computer geek friend of mine, (lol), I asked my mechanic about replacing all of the injectors while he was in there, he told me that the labor in taking off the upper/lower manifold in really minimal for him, so why pay for injectors ya don't need.....car should be back on the road soon as the injector comes to his shop.....the 3rd Gen Max is so clean, I was so lucky to find it, absolutely no rust whatsoever, I added A Pioneer Supertuner/w cd player& new Pioneer Speakers, + added Sirius Satelite Radio so I can Listen To Howard Stern, The Caddy has XM Satelite Radio already programed into it, however there is a computer "Brain", chip out now that converts the XM unit to Sirius that just plugs in, I gotta get one I Love Howard!!!

Nice. But why doesn't that look like a CTS-V to me? Forgive me if I'm wrong. You seem to have the grill but seem to be missing the CTS-V wheels (looks like the stock non-V wheels) And if you have swapped, I don't think the non-V wheels would fit over the huge V BBK brakes. Here is a picture of V that I see.

You Guys have way too much time on your hands.....The CTS-V is Raven Black, I De-badged it so nobody would know what it has under the hood, comes in handy when I smoke Yuppies in their Beamers & Benzs...(sleeper V) the rims are 18 inch Polished Option, looks way better than the usual....ones + easier to clean, & yes I don't have the front plate on....so call the Police!!! Whippeee Dooo!!!
