Got The Max Back From Paint Shop Tell Me What U Think(Pic 56k beware)

So after not having my car for 2 weeks, I finally got it back last night. I have some before and after pics so tell me what you think. Also it doesn’t have any wax or anything on it yet because I am letting the paint cure for 30 days.

Click this link here, I made it a slide show......

looks good but of course we need to see in the trunk, under the hood and the door jambs to see how well they did on the color change.

The outside looks good though with nice DOI.

I paid $725... but I have 4 passes of paint and clear coat on it to so its not a ****y paint job. so in my opinion it looks a lot better then that nasty gold color.

this sounds like a defensive response...no one was saying anything bad about your paint job.

It does look good and a lot better than gold.

yea I know... main reason I had it done was because my hood look so bad it waz almost completely faded and so was the trunk. So they stripped both of those sanded and primed them. then the right rear door has some rust so they sanded that and sealed it up but most likely it will be back in a yr. then the rest of body waz just painted over. i just cant wait to see wat it looks like after a good washing and some wax...

Looks good in the pics, congrats. Now I disagree on the gold comment. Its not really ugly its just how you accessorize it. Such as Jeffs old Max, it think it looked awesome thanks to the rims and same for bru91, both cars looked great. I wouldn't buy one simply because its not my color either but hey now that its black your car looks a lot better

for gold (technically beige )

But thanks for sharing, and glad you're happy with the outcome, that's all that matters. BTW, interesting, that's the first max i've seen with non-body coloured door guards. Were those aftermarket?

Well dont forget that this thread IS about him painting it black because he likes it a lot. Maybe he painted the the door guards black ahead of time to feel the blackness ORRR he just wanted contrast and uniqueness (did I spell that right?)

IMHO, the G35 wheels look better than the stock 2003 Max wheels. However, I am the picky type that says "if your car is made by Nissan, then stick with Nissan logo'd parts". I know that Nissan and Infiniti are sister companies, but for some reason, mixing sister company logos reminds me of those the "ricer" oriented thinkers who think it's sooOOOooo cool to put an Acura emblem on a civic....

How about these Maxima wheels? http://www.finishlinewheels.com/NISS...03/A-62401U85/
I don't know if these are necessarily the "stock" wheels, but I like how the spokes are distinguished from the rim (that's versus the non-distinguished spoke-to-rim look: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/NISS...03/A-62378U10/

good luck!

I was just gonna say that, why does everyone think putting a ton of paint on the car makes for a good job.
