But seriously, do you have a pic because I can say my fourth gen has 400000 miles too. That's why I asked, plus I would like to show my friend that Nissans do last longer than his s***ty Mercedes does/ did.

don't bother.
they both last long, the real question is maintenance.

It's okay, you dont have to.. It really isn't that uncommon around here for a VG.

nice ...if I hadn't crashed my 90 GXE(@210-220k miles), I'd probably still have it and be in the 300ks or at least high 200ks!

We already had a pic of an original VG at 400k+ and it was still running but the car was wrecked shortly thereafter.

The real question is the tranny. Did this guys tranny really last him 379k until a rebuild? That I find hard to believe, especially if it was an automatic, because the auto trannies in these cars are built by Tyco R/C company.

Wow, congrats! I have a '93 SE that just passed 202K and I thought that was something. I prefer manual transmissions and although I've had the master & slave hydraulics/cylinders replaced a couple times, the original clutch lasted until 185K miles so I'm hoping she'll last a few more years.

I just passed 265k, my original clutch lasted until 216k~crazy~ still runs great, and is still fast. I just do regular maintenance + change oil EVERY 3000 miles, ive replaced the drain plug 6 times just from normal wear and tear

Is the drain plug something that is supposed to be replaced every so often? Because I think my car is slowly leaking oil around that area.

By the way, MyGreenMax94, is that pic from your SE or GXE?... I'm guessing SE from the white gauges, but a lot of people swap out the GXE gauges for white ones as well.

Yes! The Transmisson lasted until 379k I had driven to the local Harley Dealership when I heard a clunk sound, I was going about 60mph, I didn't think anything as I hear it from time to time when you hit a rock or something in the road, Got to the dealership, did my shopping then came out to leave the car would not go in reverse. forward yes, well after trying serveral times I was up against the curb and could not move the car, had it towed home, pulled the transmission, and found out why, the output shaft had welded to the planet gears inside allowing only forward movement with no shift. Smoked!! Off to the junk yard.
