The pricing on those is fairly high for what they are, but $35 isn't that much money. A group deal of like 10-12 guys seems fairly reasonable to me if they can drop it to like $25 or $30 shipped.

They do look sweet. D-Bo has some on his 4th gen and it was the first thing I noticed when I looked in his car.

I'm going to order a set for myself. $35 isn't that much, even for this cheap 3rd gen'r.

Man that looks excellent. Its weird though cause on the link you provided it stated that you use adhesive and I want to make sure before I drop a lil case (29.00) to get them its not going to require more than just popin it in.

The camera I used was my Canon SD400. It's a pretty simple 5.0 megapixel digital. It takes pretty good pics.

Well your info says you have a '93 SE. So your cluster will be exactly the same as mine. I'm 99% sure yours will just pop in. You just press, and you'll feel them pop in. There pretty snug too, it takes a good amount of pressure to get them back out. Also, they said they provide adhesive, but they don't. You just get some little paper with basic instuctions, and the rings. They are super easy to do. Just take the cluster out & take the plastic off, and pop them in.

I don't know how much the rings were without shipping. I just asked them how much (shipped) total, and they said $35. I really didn't care, cause $35 is a good deal, and WAYY worth it. These things are worth there weight in gold to me. Best interior mod yet.

Well i finally got around to giving it a shot. The rings arrived surprisingly quickly (and are a perfect fit with no blemishes). These pictures do them little to no justice, seeing them in the flesh is 15x better.. especially when you're positioned in the drivers seat looking straight on.

I figured seeing as i'd be breaking into the dash this far, i'd go the full hog and replace the stock green bulbs for some 'strategically' placed leds.

Very VERY glad there are no cold spots. The only thing I couldnt avoid was the obvious transition of colours in the odometer area... though to be quite honest i've come to like the effect somewhat, at least the colours arnt washing into one another where it counts (the dials) .. they seperate very evenly, i was surprised.

How often do you look at your guages when you drive? I look at mine all the time, and therefore, look at my rings all the time, so for a mod that gets used/viewed dozens of times a day, well worth the money.

Super easy to install, however my gas/heat ring fell off after the first week, so I zipped it all back apart, snapped it back in, and now 10 months later it's still holding fine.

That's funny, cause about 3 months after I installed mine, I had my gas/temp ring pop out after hitting a decent bump. I took it apart, and used some adhesive on the back of that one. The speedo and tach are pretty snug, they shouldn't budge.

those look really nice.....i wonder how they'd look on my 'chrome' bezel?

also, duckman...is your plexiglass cover removed in all the pictures? or is it just THAT clean? as you can see, mine is terrible.

Yeah, they are nice. Yours would look pretty good with the rings even though the bezel is also chrome. I think it might give it a retro gauge look. You can't go wrong. I ordered the rings for my GXE this morning.

The plastic is on in the pictures, it's just really clean. I have since wet sanded it with 2000 grit, and finished it with some plastic polish and wax.

I just spray painted all my dashboard bezels silver, including the gauge cluster bezel. Looks pretty good if you ask me. And a can of spray paint only costs 5 bucks at most. That's how you do it in the ghetto.

Hmm... I tried that one time in my GXE, except It was the dash, I sanded everything down, then spray painted it black.

Still hated it...

dam I didnt know the 3rd gen interior could look so nice. Gauge rings have always been one of those cheap yet very gratifying (sp?) mods.
