Nismo Exhaust Hangers
I was checking these out and thought they would make a nice addition to the exhaust i will be bolting up soon. http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...de=20651-NISMO
I was thinking about getting 2 to hang up the muffler b/c its the prettiest part (GReddy
) and getting regular ones for the rest. Is it worth it or just a waste of money?

Yeah, don't. Spend $30 buying beer, that will be a better investment. You can get regular rubber hangers which will have no problem holding up a lighter aftermarket exhaust for much cheaper than just one hanger.
If you care about pretty, just use some tire shine on the hangers.

If the Nismo ones are stiffer and prevent the exhaust system from wobbling around, then why not replace them? My stock hangers are OK, but the exhaust wiggles around a bit when driving on rough roads (not an image I care for).

the stock hangers have a open middle portion. over time the rubber will age and the open middle portion will stretch out and your exhaust will start to hang lower and rub and hit speed bumps and etc.
the nismo piece is a solid rubber so it won't open up like the stock ones will.
is it worth 15 bucks? you damn right it is when i have a 500 dollar exhaust system on the car (Greddy SP2).
buck...if you're going to get the hangers...do it right and get all of them...6 total (2 at the cat, 2 on the b-pipe, 2 on the muffler can)..because if you replace 2 it will create more strain on the other 3 on the car and they will sag/wear faster.

Search polyurethane exhaust hangers on ebay, i got enough for my whole exhaust system there. They work great, no more ghetto looking wobbly exhaust.

I still scraped my SP2 a week after i got it though, too many people in the back. It's all good, i just call it "drift damage".

Thanks for the advice guys. But are all the hangers the same size? Nissan parts quoted me $6/each for the muffler, $8/each for ones by the b-pipe and $25 for one by the cat. I lost the diagram he gave me which is similar to the one in the FSM, except it has the part #'s next to each part. So the ones on the muffler would be part# 60751-A and another would be 60751-B. I don't want to buy a bunch of different nismo ones and only have a couple fit.

what kind of muffler on the 240? was it a kit or a weld on from a shop?
