I have 232,000 and all I've done was change the altenator, battery, and starter twice. I'm going to throw a party at 300k if I dont sell her.

My Maxima's that I've owned
93 Black on Black SE - Bought in 1997 with 284k and drove it until the winter of 2000 when the transmission finally died with 411k miles
94 White on Tan SE - Bought in 1999 with 199k and drove it until it hit 291k. Some lady pulled out in front of me and totalled it.

My buddy's dad has an 89 Maxima in his junkyard with 544k miles. This thing is whooped.

whes it pulls to one side, it is most likely your lower control arm bushings are shot....... unhooking the rear brakes is very unsafe.....

Bought Dec 03 with 133k. Now has 169k. Out of that, I put 23k in 2004 alone. Engine+trans is original.

Bought 9-17-05 with 141,319
Currently 153,400

That's average 2k a month...that was mainly the first couple months when I was driving all day, I've calmed down now. Have to say I havent changed anything as in repairs but maintenance-wise I've done W.P, Tbelt, themostat, belts, and so on but thats just part of maintaining it so I dont consider those repairs as they went bad.

Bought it new in August 94. 170K miles, now 18yr old daughter drives it more than me. Every dent and ding in that car is from "the cutoff queen".

238K increasing at about 2000 miles a month. It was at 224k in September. The rate of increase will all but stop while I'm deployed though.

Wow, your Max is a real garage queen...Mine is too right now, but that's cause it doesn't run!

What significance does 04-04-06 have, Cliff?

Hey everyone,

I am new to this forum, well not new because I have been reading it for a while but now I feel more comfortable posting threads ans answering to things that I know.

As far as miles on my max, I've got 138,000 KM which is roughly 85,000 miles, engine and tranny original. I bought it on March 2005 and drove it 13,000 miles with only minor problems.
