Might be leaving the Nissan Family

I co-worker is needing another car, and is interested in my Maxima. He has a lot better funding available to fix her up than I do. Right now I've been putting of brake pads for past 4 or 5 months.

I'm looking into a Lexus IS300, and will hopefully be able to trade my truck in.

Gosh, I pity the poor Lexus when it needs brakes.

Really, sorry to see you go.

That's a nice lexus, but that ground effects kit and super-slam wouldn't last 5 miles where I'm from and with me driving. IS300's have rally potential and I would definitely autocross it at the very least.

Well I won't be get the IS300, not manual... though the one I was looking at was silver, and looked like it had the same body kit as that one. I still have to wait and see if the guy wants it. My neighbor has a 91 VW Jetta Wolfsburg edition that he replaced the head on. He's been working on the car for awhile, but has to move here soon. So my co-worker might end up with that it all depends upon what his wife thinks.

I would have been trading in my truck, which now currently takes up my Maxima funds. So instead of 3 cars, I would have been down to just 2. Much easier to afford brakes

i highly doubt the is300 you looked at had a widebody kit on it like that one.....that car is nice as H3LL.

ok if youre going to get rid of the truck then why not put those funds towards the maxima......although id take a lexus over my maxima....no brainer

Because I'd be trading, the truck, it'll be hard to sell it privately.

I'm trying to decide if I want to part with my Maxima... I took him around to show him exactly what it could, and man I miss driving her. I honestly don't think I can part with my baby.

Maybe I should change the title to...

"QUICK, I'm thinking of selling my Maxima, talk me out of it!!!!"

I'm floudering, I need my support group

"Hello my name is Ben, I've been a Maxima fanatic (almost lunatic) for over 3 years"

The poor guy has been looking for a car for awhile. Anyone have a 5 Spd asking $1000 close to me or in Texas?

I did get him addicted to the Maxima, in his own words " Man this thing pulls like slingshot" that was after I shifted into 4th doing about 90 MPH. Should have seen his face when I told him I was going past 100 mph...

That's why I'm not selling my baby. I've spent too much time, money, and love into her. I just don't have the heart to give her up... even though the extra money would help when trading in my truck. I've passed up 2 times of trading her in, I'm not going to end it by selling her.

you talked yourself out of selling the Maxima just in one thread...

I keep thinking about getting rid of the Maxima, but I just can't bring myself to do it. I have a potential trade offer for a 92 Mustang LX 5.0 with 5-lug conversion and Bullitt wheels, but I just can't pull the trigger...I think if it were supercharged I would do it

That was unfourtantely along the same strip of highway that is constantley runned by the Highway partrol due to base patrons driving into town. I couldn't chance it any longer than I did. Unless you want to bail me out of jail?

Plus, about 98% of the people who race out here, only have a crummy Honda, Neon, Alero, and cavaliers. It's so bad that the IS300 I was looking at is only 1 of 3 within 200 miles. The other 2 are owned by AF personnel.

Yeah, I know what you mean. If you had held it any longer your buddy would have in fact, realized the car was not exactly fast...
