door sills shiny look

I found these at the junkyard does anyone know who makes them? I was thinking about putting them on my max or selling them if anyone wants them. I'm just curious what your opinon is on these.

They are chrome I believe or at least shiny metal. They only have two screws instead of four in the front. The person just put them over the plastic ones. and the metal fully covers the plastic in the front but in the back it does not fully cover the back.

Did the car they came off of have a rag top covering the roof, 100 spoke 13's and lots of crome trim?
seriuoly though, those do look like one off pieces, and they do look pretty cool. I guess sometimes ghetto ain't so bad.

No but they came out of a champagne 89SE that had a still good spoiler. The finest black leather interior I've ever seen. Perfect rear floor mats. The front mats looked like someone took the maxima at the bottom of the mat and sewed it to the middle area. 200,000+ miles. This car had the ugliest rims I'd ever seen though. It was like a black spider web looking rim.

What do you honestly expect folks to offer you? As a seller you set the price. Are you looking to get what you paid at the boneyard? Are you looking to make a few extra bucks on top of what you paid at the boneyard? Are you looking for fare market price? What?

Be a gentleman and don't let this turn into a eBay affair where one is out bidding the other. Set your price and hopefully someone will bite

I was thinking like $35 shipped since they're kind of heavy.

I have no reason not to believe you sold them locally but I would hate to think someone else on the board offered you more than what you were asking so you came up with a local buyer excuse. Nothing wrong with getting more for your money, but if you wanted more you should have listed it for more.

Let's recap

9/15
You found door sills at boneyard. Thinking what your options were, you either wanted to keep or sell

A couple days went buy and you got comments from sexy, custom made, gold or chrome, etc.

9/18
Mattster would have been interested if he wasn't trading his Max. Since Matt wasn't interested I chime in on the same day. Which then you asked on the sills or parting out the 89SE?

9/19
I replied door sills

Couple more days passed and a couple more comments from posting a link to other sills, polish and buffing, letting the thread die, seeing other Max in NYS with stuff like theses, etc.

9/22
You wanted someone to throw you an offer. After that the usuall eBay bidding happened. I stated be a gentleman (gentleman being the key word here) and state what you want.

9/23
After a couple more eBay bidding you finally stated what you're asking, which was $35.

9/24
Early in the AM hours I stated I'll pay you asking price, but later on in the day you stated they were sold locally.

Like I said, I have no reason not to believe you sold them locally but what a coincidence. Could it be possible someone offered you more than your asking price so you had to think quickly? Nothing wrong with buying low and selling high, that's buisness 101. I don't know if you've ever sold anything on these forums before, you will quickly learn that a lot of folks will say "I'll buy them" and when it comes to getting the money it's another story. But since you sold them locally this doesn't apply to you.

Good luck
