I've had mine for 2 years
sheesh I never expected to keep the car this long.
I bought it 2 years ago to sell it (actually had it sold too)
then I drove it while my cherokee went in for some work.
needless to say the cherokee is long gone, I've moved twice replaced my wifes van and trans.
But I've still got the max. the only other cars I've had for this long that I wasn't making payments on were/are:
91 blazer (dead now, just left 2 weeks ago from my brothers custody after having it for nearly 5 years)
79 Camaro (still have it, less than 80k original on it. had it since 96. Longer than my wife)
I bought the max with I think 120k on it or so, now I'm up to 133k
of course it won't get much more mileage once I fix that stupid economy car in the garage (96 integra)
just thought I'd share (ok, really pull a shawn )

I'm going onto 3 years now. Bought at 136,000 now at 177,777.
Moved from vt to ga, and made the 5 rounds trips so far. One non-stop to San Fransico and back to Ga.
Before that.
I drove a 90 accord into the ground.
Same with a 91 probe and a 92 mustang.

My GXE hasn't been rolling miles fully, but I bought it with 82k 4 years ago and now it shows 102k. The VE lasted all of about 3 months and 2.5k before she died.

I have had my Red VE 5-speed for 2.5 years now. I have only put on about 4k miles on it in that time. It had 148k when I bought it and now it has 152k. In a way, I want another Mustang GT, but since we get a fair amount of snow here in the winter, I am going to keep the Max a while.
My first 92 VE 5-speed (pebble beige, gold, whatever that color is) I bought in the spring of 95 with 60k on it. I drove it until the summer of 97 and when I traded it in, it had 160k on it.
I really liked my first one, but I used it for work and I was a bit worried about things breaking down. I was driving frequently to eastern Washington from southwest Washington and there is a lot of nothing out there. Plus, my boss was threatening to take my gas card away, since I always used premium in the Max. I traded it in for a 95 200sx SE with 10k miles. That car got 40 mpg on the highway, but it sucked bad in the snow.

My first one i bought in 95 with 45,000 on it. I retired it in 02 with close to 400,000(I only retired it after they stole the stereo) In between and before I have owned many cars and never got rid of my maxima. I Had brand new cars and still preferred my max. I even preffered it over a 4th gen. My 2nd one I bought in 02(89 se) took tranny(which I rebuilt myself) out of 92 and put in 89 sold to sister still running strong. My 3rd one is a 92 I bought for 200 dollars with 190k about 2 or 3 months ago. Car runs like new clean as a whistle inside. I will run it until it stops. If you treat them right these cars are unstoppable.

91SE, Auto. Purchased June 96, for... (gulp) $10,000k -- and that was a deal at the time!!
It's been 10 really good years with this puppy, and as we speak it is in the shop having a full paint job, brand new rims with shoes waiting to go on when it is ready. My unborn children are already rubbing their hands together in anticipation.

I've had mine for a little over 3 years now, and I've put nearly 30K miles on it. I bought it with 37K miles. I dunno, I'm starting to wonder why I have put as much time and money into it as I have. In the end, it's still a FWD car that isn't meant to put out that much power, as it demonstrated to me. I'll need new tires at least in order to drive it in the winter, so it's losing some of it's usefulness. I just don't know what to do with it, I thought I'd never sell it, but if the right offer came along....

I picked up my 92 GXE in the summer of 2001 for $5,500 with 49,000 miles on it. One owner and the guy gave me all of the original paperwork from like 1992 when the car sold for about $20,000. She has 130,000 miles on her and most of that is back and forth from school.
