Fuel Injectors

Anybody know how much (ballpark) would it be for 3 new fuel injectors on a 93 Maxima with 63K.

Injectors are about $100 each, and labor can be anywhere from 3-6 hours, I would imagine. If you are gonna replace them you might as well replace all 6.

that depends on if your paying someone to do the labor or not and whether you have a VG (do all 6) or a VE (Do 3 if it's a rear one)

You can get rebuilt ones for $40 a peice or cheaper. Some say they aren't very reliable though.

Even if it's a VE, it's still a good idea to change them all out anyway just because its safer to do so and it may save you money in the long run anyway.

I know for the VE that injectors are about 100-120 bucks a piece (black or blue). I had all 6 of mine replaced just last week for the grand total of about 800 bucks (about 670 for the injectors themselves + the rest in labor charges).

I say they aren't reliable, and the design has since been updated with an update that you won't find on a rebuilt injector.
on a VE you can do the front ones in about 45 minutes.
Took my mech 20-30 minutes from the time I handed him the keys til he handed them back to me to do the front center one.
now he has to do the rears, 1 went bad but i'm doing all 3 because labor is a pain

What kind of design update? Does it make any noticeable performance difference?

only visible difference is a relocation of the fuel inlet.
Don't know about any other changes

And what is the difference among different colour codes? Yellow, blue, black etc.

I installed 6 rebuilt about 3000 miles ago. Everything seems fine so far. I'll keep you updated on their status.

By the way, recently the accelaration has been a bit sluggish in first gear up until about 30 mph but it doesn't feel like the injectors since the engine idles very smoothly. Tire pressure is good, tranny seems fine. What do you think it could be? Hope it's not the injectors

I just read somewhere, it could be that my Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) has gone bad, which can cause this sort of "hesitation" in acceleration.
