goodbye

well guys its been fun but i have to leave the .org due to the fact last nite my car started a fire.i was playing basketball with my girl in hempstead,LI and we were leaving. i started my car , put it in drive then not i sec later i see in the rear view mirror flames in the trunk. so i stop the car, took my keys and phone and ran as far away from the car. call 911 and they came in 5 min but all it took was 1 min for the fire to kill the max. after the fire dept came n hosed down the car, all that was left was bare metal from the interior bmw headlights and rims/tires. so now, this is/was my last maxima experience. now im going to be mta bussin' 4 a long while. i will miss the max and the site, but theres no point 4 me to be here. thanks for all the help in the past n thanks for the compliments in the past. i hope u guys won't have this bad experience. so mr moderator, u can dead my screenmame, thanks again!!! bye.

on his cardomain, looks like there is an optima and a couple subs (probably amp too) in the back. I wonder if something went wrong with the wiring back there

Man, really sorry to hear that! Good luck to you in the future, and just because you don't have a max doesn't mean you have to give up on the .org!

Me and Spence hang out on a regular basis and he had just took his amp out because it had blew. He had covered the amp power wire because he took out the subs and amps until he got a new amp but apparently it got free and sparked up on the trunk carpeting. Car caught fire, burned up, rim lock key burned in fire so the rims are still on the car. And I thought me just denting a rim was bad He just had a JDM VG put in too!! I had just saw him not even 24 hours before this happened and the car was in excellent condition. Spence keep the name!! Just in case you find another Max.....

damn that's crazy...but this is another reason why you need to FUSE THE POWER WIRES. if it contacted the trunk it would've just blown the fuse.

Skyliner should have the pics up soon but let me tell you now it's not for the weak of heart. It was like seeing a murder. The rims, tires and engine were fine. The interior from the trunk to the dashboard were completely burned down. Being that the car was still hot when they towed it the night before they wouldn't let him take the rims or e36's off the car and when I went to see it yesterday they told me "Look at it and move on with your life" so they took it to the junkyard with the muffler, rims, and headlights on it. I'll see if we can get them posted by late afternoon or tonite. Hey Spence, I know someone who is selling a Maxima in our area so if you still want a Max let me know...

Oh man that stinks. You should have gotten the wheels and lights off regardless of what the junk yard said. While it was still under your ownership you should have gotten that stuff and at least sold it to pay a little of the expenses.

Still I hate that happened...good luck with whatever you do in the future.

Is it only me or does anyone else keep a fire extinguisher in their car? Just in case this happens. But once I saw a bug on the side of the rode on fire, made me think about keeping one in the car.

I keep fire extinguishers in my car. I have a 10 lb abc and a 5 lb halon. Halon rocks but are hard to get. My dad owns a fire extinguisher company though.

The only problem is I keep my extinguisher in the trunk and that wouldnt help in this situation since that is where the fire started.
