well see i have two cars, I live with my girlfriend and she was going to drive my neon while I drove the max, well we thougt it better if we seperated due to fights and we keep pushing each other two make it work well anyways to make a long story short, i'm still paying on my neon and the max needs a full exhaust system cause its horribly rusted, I need a new a/c compressor (not a big deal) I need insurance and a tag $400 dollars worth including downpayment on the insurance I need new regulators for 2 windows and the car has 274,000 miles and i dont know how long its gonna last, its my first max i'm all alone and man I dunno what to do, I really cant afford 2 cars

Of course I'm also guessing you're upside down on the neon too.

Drive the Neon for a week or two. I bet you will find a way to reverse your decision. I had the same question. My Max was fastly becoming a POS mechanically. I have a 91 Escort GT in excellent shape. I was gonna ash can the Max and keep the Escudo. After driving each for a week straight....
Put it this way the Max has a new lease on life. My Max has180,000+ miles, still drives smoother than my Bro-in-laws New Impala. Is as quiet as a mouse in church I might add. Selling GT to pay for Max.
AND THEY LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER??!!

Not with those miles. Dump the neon for as much as you can get. Drive the max for the time being Then sink the $ from the neon into the next VE 5spd you can find. Sell the max (or part) and use the $ to mod the new max!
I suppose you could do it the other way around if you still have to pay on the neon for a bit..... but come on, that neon will need a freakin head gasket every 20,000 miles anyway.........

I don't even want to think about driving a Neon. My aunt had one that I drove the whole summer when I was 16.
But then again, I have a 2003 Trailblazer that is an unbelievable SUV and I would rather drive my Max. Just ask my wife.
