aight, paid 150 for a high flow cat. wow, much quieter and much better acceleration. i didnt think anything was wrong til i had it fixed. now i just need an O2 sensor, the guy at the muffler shop wanted 200 to put a new one in. o'reillys have the same one for 80 bux, so i figured id save 120 by buying it and doing it myself

now, question, i havent taken a look at the o2 sensor, but is it something easily replaceable, or does it need some work, i figure that it is easy, but i wanna make sure before i try

also, what brand muffler should i get, im thinking magnaflow

for the o2 buy the NTK, anyone else and you're paying for them to rebox it.
Magnaflow appears to be the muffler of choice around here.

easy... all you need is a 17mm wrench. (assuming yours isn't rusted to the Y pipe like many I've seen.
use a small amount of anti-sieze on the new one when you put it in and you're golden.

Well i got my magnaflow, as well as my o2, might i add much better

im really pleased with my muffler, it sounds deep and throaty, and it set off a car alarm on the way home.

About the O2 sensor, I just got a new one in the mail(NTK). How important is it to torque to the proper setting? Because I have no "sideways" torque wrench only the type that you put on top of the bolt. And you can't do that with the O2 sensor because of the length of it and the wire sticking out. So can I just tighten with a normal wrench, or does it really need to be torqued accurately?

i was gonna ask that same question, i just hand tightened it. soooo...

just get it tight so it wont come loose and so you could remove later

use good judgement and it will be fine

my good judgement isnt that good, but it hasnt come out yet and i went over some bumpy roads goin to skool today.

you need to get better than hand tightening... there's a crush gasket on the sensor.. usually, you hand tighten it, then go another 1/2 to 2/3 of a turn past there to seat the gasket and such.
