Just wanted to know if anyone who upgraded their fuel pump used a walboro 190 or 255 and why?

When I first bought my car I was thinking about upgrading because I wanted to use some big power adders (was thinking n2o but didn't want to have to pay $40 each time to refill the bottle).

You could always get a higher pressure one and a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator

Yea I know they're pretty cheap I just need to know if I should get the 190lph or the 255lph because 255 might be too much juice for the fuel pressure regulator to handle. Where the hell is Eric93se I know he has a walboro throw your info in here .

i have a 255lph, my only problem is i run about 45psi at idle..i replaced the stocker because i had a few wierd problems and said what the hell at the time. no regrets though, just need to get an adjustable pressure regulator to get the pressure down to stock.

you must have bought the high pressure one so you will need an ajustable FPR

i have the low pressure 255lph primarily designed to support larger injectors with the stock fuel pressure regulator. i think it should be good for 550cc at stock 43psi WOT fuel pressure and i dont think the block would support more power than what i could get out of that so im good

theres really no point in upgrading your fuel pump unless your going forced induction

I don't wanna be rude, but not a BIT of that is factual information.

I've been running the high pressure 255lph on mine for about a year now without a glitch (and stock FPR). it idles at 39psi and goes to 43 at WOT.

If you have problems with pressures other than that, it's NOT the pump. it's a faulty FPR, or you've got the vacuum hose pulled off the back.

Thanks guys appreciate all your responses. Well I'm not changing it for the fun of it, I'm changing it because my fuel pump seems to be damaged and I'm not going to the dealer to pay more for a stock fuel pump when I can upgrade at a lower cost. Matt your experience with the 255lph seems pretty good I think I am going to go your route. Oh yea you should be getting my payment for the stuff shortly . Thanks for the responses once again.

Is there anyway of testing the fuel pump before I go ahead and change it. Like testing the resistance on it. If someone knows the procedure of checking the fuel pump I would appreciate it greatly.
