alright due to the demand im gonna steal diegos thread for a minute here

i called up direct trans today since they deal with exedy and went down there, they looked at everything - master, slave, to bearing, pedal bracket, etc.

The problem now seems to be the bracket itself, because the clutch pedal actually bent toward the right, so he tightened the top bolt (the one that goes straight up), bent the pedal/bracket back and it shifted perfectly. But something still has to be done about this because i still have to pull the pedal back straight after driving for awhile or else it wont depress enough for me to shift. Plus the pedal feels way too odd, "spongy/mushy" if you will, before the engagement range

So im thinking now either one of 2 things, or both:

#1 - installation error when it was swapped, because they (the guys at Direct) made a comment about the space between the bracket being mounted from the firewall, ie should the bracket be closer to the firewall? or is that the right distance? etc

or #2 with the clutch pedal as stiff as it is, it probably put too much stress on that bracket since this flimsy bracket was never specifically designed to work with a tough clutch like this

what they suggested i do for now is pull out the entire clutch pedal assembly and bracket and have the bracket welded all around and reinforced to stop it from flexing, then put back in and see from there

so all in all, im keeping #2 as a possibility but im going to investigate #1 a little more

and yea jay i saw rob there as he says "what the **** are you doin here"

just remember Im everywhere.

you should buy a new clutch pedal bracket and have it welded, the oem one I got after mine broke was stronger than the stock one,

and I should have thought yours was broken because now that I think about when the bolt that holds mine broke it was also pushing to the side. And andy told me that because of the heavier pressure plate thise brackets will usually break, but Joe put that nut back where it belongs before the clutch gets messed up (hopefully too much damage hasnt been done)

and Diego what time were you going by Andy's on sunday, I was gonna go there to have him take a look at something today but If your going tommorow, Ill probably go Sunday.
