VTC Dyno?

What's up, I haven't posted much before but I've been reading this forums for the last few years. It finally looks like I may be getting a black '93 SE 5spd that's in excellent condition (perfect interior, only problems are VTC tick and driver panel doesn't correctly control passenger/rear windows). Until I could afford to replace the VTCs I figured I would just ground them by follow Craig B's tutorial. However, after all the debate as to how this affects your power has anyone actually found out how it really affects the VE power curve?

if you search there is a thread with a dyno of them working and not working...but I think the difference was around 12whp...if I remember right.

you only lose it on the bottom end of the TQ curve. how often (when racing) are you below 3500rpm?

I don't race. I'd rather have some down low torque. I likes to pull stumps out the ground
