I know how you feel, but I dont even bother anymore, too much work, you and I know that parts for a decent turbo setup will cost more than than this GD price for a few people let alone 1 person. and as far a "NOSing your max" well taht comment speaks for itself.

of corse its posible to put a super ch'er on a max but theres no kit so id be custom and somwhat costly but hell theres a guy in the boost forum whos trying to put a roots style blower from a GM on his max so anyhting is possible
