From the driver's fender look under the trans. You will see an almost circular black object with on 10mm bolt fastening it. One note, not only is that the reverse switch, but it is also the drain plug for the gear oil.

look for limited slip differential gear oil.. there is a plug in the front of the trans that a 1/2 inch rachet can fit into. I would use a breaker bar though(same a rachet but doesn't turn) I think I had to use about 4-5qts. Just fill it till oil over flows out of fill hole.

One word of advice..... (don't ask how I know)

ALWAYS...ALWAYS...ALWAYS!!!!!

Remove the fill plug BEFORE you remove the drain plug!!!!

There's very few feelings worse then having all your gear lube neatly in the drain pan with NO WAY to add fresh (or used) lube back in!!!!

(like I said, don't ask!)

That should do the job. One thing, did you check your fuse (left bank 6th from the bottom - 10 A)? If that is good confirm that the switch is bad? All you need is a multi meter. From that plug I told you about, follow the wire to its connector. disconnect connector and with car in reverse, probe the green wire and the red wire with black tracer. If you have continuty, the switch works.

thanks all the switch was bad and i replaced it yesterday. Reverse lights work again finally. The new gear oil made the car shift a little nicer now too !

Maybe there's a loose connection or something. For all of my cars, I always buy a haynes manual(come in really handy).
