I dont know what i would use a pinout for my ipod, because i wouldnt be able to control it and see the songs through the bose HU anyway.
Id just use the 1/8" Stereo MiniPlug to plug it in. but i may do as u did and run RCA jacks then plug a Y(rca's to Miniplug) into that. that should do the trick incase i ever get rid of my car someone else might like to use a cd player or something.
