painted G35c wheels.Pic take a look

My wheels had some curb rash so I've decided to paint them.Came out to dark and to grey but I like it. I'll try something brighter at the end of the summer.Tell me what you think

Here's how you post the pics....looks ok, but what kind of paint did you use? On an alloy finish, it won't stick very well for extended periods...The color is ok, though it doesn't really match your car all that well, at least in the pics...

the work u did looks good.

were the tires removed from the wheels when u worked on it?

i am considering very hard to re-finish my OZ wheels because the clearcoat is failing and there are spots all over it.. i was going to go with the exact color you have right now. What products did you use? how'd you do it?

I've seen some writeup about using airplane stripper -> sanding ... let me know, thanks

Painted G35's

I was considering painting mine as well. Sorry, but I'm not feeling the color. Well, I guess the color is ok, but not quite on a gold car. Just my opinion. I wasnted to spray mine bronze for my Icelandic Pearl Max. I may do it over the summertime. Just waiting to find some new wheels, then I'll take mine off and spray the G's.

It doesn't look bad, but it's not as nice as before. The paint needs more of a metallic lustre.

Hyperblack or Alumifec

You need to get a hold of our hyperblack paint or Motochrome. Alumifec would also work well if you want a satin finish. We repaired a set of G35 wheels before and we had to use our alumifec to match because our motochrome was too brilliant.

Alumifec is basically our satin chrome finish. It is used to create the look of real metal. If you want a more reflective finish then i'd suggest the motochrome or hyperblack(black chrome). You can also control the level or brightness of each of these paints just by changing the base coat color.

Advanced Auto has a wheel clear coat with a metal flake in it. give it a try, it will shine the rims more and give it that great sparkle.
