How to remove/replace oil pressure sending unit

there are instructions in the stickies at the top of the forum. unplug the sensor, unscrew the sending unit, replace, reconnect. the hardest part is finding the oddly huge socket you need to uncrew the sending unit, i think it was 1 1/16" or something...

for lack of a better description, it's on the back of your oil pan, if i remember correctly. no pics, but out of curiosity: how do you know you need to replace it without knowing where it is?

It is very common to have a small bit of oil comming from the oil pressure sending unit on a higher mileage car, usually not a concern or enough to notice between oil changes. It is very easy to see, just jack up the passange side and take a look at the back of the oil pan. I
