You can replace that part I had mine fell apart and my brake light was staying on those get brittle and falll apart. It call brake light bump stop it usually made of semi rubber plastic you can get them from Nissan I replaced my cruise control and brake light bump stop so I don’t have to deal with another broke plastic

Go with the bullet proof design! A small machine screw or carriage bolt with a washer and nylon lock nut! $0.50 found anywhere/anytime at Walmart or your local hardware store. Guaranteed not to fail due to dry rotting!
