Can I put 18" wheels & tires on a 87 with 234 40 18 size tires... will it work?

i dont think that you can. From everything ive read 17 is the biggest you can go. I have st lowering springs on my car with stock size tires and I already rub on the frame when i am taking a turn with more than 1 person in the car.

yup 17's are the biggest

18s would rub the fender well. youd have to higher your car instead of lower it to fit those in the fender well.

Thanks for the reply...

I'm still researching... discounttire.com says you can take it up to 18" Hmmmm ?
Of course I have not done this yet... what I think is it may work with a lower profile tire?? I probably would not be able to lower the car if it fits... I will let you all know, again thanks for the feedback !!!
