Is my car REALLY that UGLY?

My wife and kids think that my new 87 is SO ugly.....my son calls it the "box". I have loved this body style every since they came out in 85. Especially the SE's with the 5 speed, nice firm seats, lip spoiler....oh man! Unfortunately, mine is a one owner, 113K mile GXE. Two tone brown/argent? in color. My kids say "Dad, Pa---leeeeeeese don't pick us up from school in it!" I am offended.....humpf!!. Fooey on you guys....I think I am going to find a spot for this little baby in the garage (AFTER I fix the tranny....which I found out has ONLY about 1K miles on it; replaced March 2003). You all can just loathe it all you want! It seems with Gen 2, you either love it or hate it. I guess compared to the Gen 3's, it does look boxy, but has anyone seen the Scions? They have a bus looking thing that is all the rave now with the GenXer's. I promise you, it looks like the front of a Gen 2 Maxima! And brushed aluminum all over the interior? Yuk, right? Seen the inside of ANY new Nissan? All that being said, they don't get to ride with my sexy voice, Maxine! She let's me know when my key is in the ignition.....Ha! Any comments? Tell me that I am REALLY not an old fuddy, duddy! I DO like Porshes, by the way, but only the 914!! Ha!

lol, kids these days need to be re-educated. when the body trend changed from a brick to an egg shell, I never like the egg shell...in the world of street fight, throwing rotten eggs may inflict some foul smell thay stays with you for a week or so... but throwing a brick surely get the point across..lol brick is good, egg is bad..

I'm 25, my car is a U12, literally another brick, with 2 tone exterior finish, and 2 tone black/blue stock interior... the only chrome is the inside door latch handles...oh, and white face gauges off the last J30 SE.

The ol' "someday this will be yours" line won't work.....I've already bought my 16 year old a Gen 3 90 model (1600 bucks!). My son has his heart set on a Nissan SKYLINE!! I don't have the heart to tell him about his champagne tastes yet. .....heeeee....

$1600 thats a good deal unless its a craped out car...

i got my 87 for $2000 and i had to admit, some of the things are better and worse than when i bought it....

engine=better
body=worse

no wrecks or any thing just stuff that kinda....causes problems

edit:

if i were to buy a skyline this is the one i would get
http://www.batfa.com/usedcar-skyline89black.htm
cheaper that way and i think its a better looking car than the crapo ones you see in all the rice mags and games

ah, the GTS-T HCR32 is a good car, if a bit underpowered.. I'd prefer an R30/R31 series though, those are some nice cars...

My friends and I refer to my 87 as the "bucket". I personally really like the looks of the second gen, I think they look very jap'ey. THe only things I dont like about them stock are the weels and the weel gap....now I just need to fix the second one on that list.

oh I am aware of that...I can't stop spending money on my fourth gen for long enough to set a side a buck fity for some springs....glad you finally got rid of yours, I will say nopi has a pretty nice price too It will be droped by next spring, if I can figure out this stupid hot idle problem (it makes me not want to spend any more money on the car), since I cannot even get it to idle right
