ok im gonna do th e5 speed swap, went to the jy aand can get everything needed to do the swap for 250. i took off the pedals was time consuming, had to drop the steering column take out the lower dash which consists of taking part of the upper dash off as well, the pedals come out as a somplete assy brake and clutch 8 bolts hold it in, the i removed the clutch cylinder(2 bolts a pin and a r clip) un fixed the brake pedal from the master cylinder (1 pin and a r clip) then i took off the shifter(4 bolts under the car past the heat sheild 5-6 10mm bolts) past the exaust (4 17mm bolts) pretty much everything on the 5 speed the auto has mounting holes for didnt kno it was this easy. got all the motormounts. clutch cylinder lines, cylinder, cylinder cooler, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate. going tomorrow to pick up everything but the transmission and start installing the pedals.
got a few questions tho for the ppl that kno more than me
is the wiring harness base like the car is (meaning does it have all plugs like the car has all mounting holes)
whats my lsd options for the 5 speed
going to do this in the up coming week so ill have pics for all as always in this thread thanks in advance!
went and got the gear tranny as well (ebay has been good to me) cleaned everything but the tranny thats next today, will open and inspect gears and crap. engine i got it from was seized and had 299xxx miles oin it but the tranny has silicone in the grooves so i guess it was rebuilt at one time(hopefilly to my benifit) the clutch thingy that the clutch mstr cylinder thingy makes work is new as well SCORE!! hope the reanny is as well.(cant remember the name of it right now).
ok went in the tranny to inspect the gears, and lemme tell ya i dont think that god is taking prayers for a set of gears like these in a 299XXX mile maxima. check em'!
the new slave and cylinder (off of the donor carfrom the junkyard!)
gonna see if i can find a lsd from a stanza and throw it in if not then ill finish it up next week with my carbon fiber pedals and shift knob. more install pics to come.
dont have the tranny in as of yet but i do have in the pedals, was a pain in tha a$$ because of these lil dagnabbit clips and the fat wiring harness took off the 7 bolts (4 nits and 3 bolts) and had to work and giggle it out. the other one slid right into place and bolted up like a champ. connected the slave cylinder, and the brakes mstr cylinder. painted the motor mounts, connected the clutch slave, got the replacement boots to the clutch fork and yoke coming in at nissan on saturday (26 bones for both) so now im just waiting.......
the pics
clips of eternal damnation!
location of clips (holes by the big a$$ wiring harness)

well at least the input shaft bearing is still in one piece. if you still have it apart could you measure the differential or see if it's marked as to which one it is (R180 or R200 or?) please
sorry bro its put back together now maybee someone here knows or you could call your nissan dealer to see, pu tit back together because i deciced not to go with the lsd for now.
had to fab this up because i had no way to really hold the flexplate for removal. its a 2 way device i made out of a spare flexplate i had lying around. cut it, welded a wheel stud bolt to hold the bounting bolt into place, screw it into the block and your good to go. great for the torque sequence for the flywheel as well.
also while im here i also had to do this to the steering rack for the 300zx oil cooler setup. moved it over like 2 inches and welded it to the rack.
also when you get the 5 spd tranny ge tthe 5 spd flywheel bolts there is a major difference...
finished shots of inside...
cut and rewelded the shifter to shorten it w/ carbon fiber knob, waiting for my shift pattern to come from nismo theyre on back order i have 2 bought up, there was a lotta energy drink in that cup to keeep me goin lol.
