Progress report

Last weekend my awesome mechanic got the harness for the CHTS,and the sensor and we switched it(the harness only). I would of put in the new senor but due to lack of time we had to just do the harness. That was a mistake, the next day drove my car on a full tank and got about 230 miles that's average for my car.(87 octane). So to further test I put half a tank (7 gallons). I got 83 miles before the car started stuttering. But the thing is I only get black exhaust when the car is cold. This happened this morning on my way to work. I pulled into the gas station to fill up and of course I don't have my wallet. Still need to get new spark plugs, I'm sure they're fouled. Probably get some NGK V-power that everyone talks about. This weekend I have to get the CHTS sensor itself out of the car. And replace it. I'll post the part number if I ever find the reciept. The only good thing is that the dealer had it in stock. They never have anything in stock for my car.

Just thought I'd let yah'll know!

Just installed the new CHTS. The Verdict is still out, last week we thought it was the harness and the black smoke stopped for a day or two. Oh yeah if you want to see pics of the smoke goto the yahoo site.
We'll see what the mileage says. Also switched gas. The mileage could be affected because a lot of the pumps in cali a fraudulent. And the quality in gas has dropped big time. Can't wait for hydrogen fuel cells!
So that makes it hard to get an accurate reading of how much gas my car is eating.

peace yah'll

yes and no.
There is a lot of carbon in the exhaust system still so it's partly that. The car isn't putting out nearly what it was before thou. So I'll just have to wait and see.

The CHTS is part #22630-01P01 thats for the sensor
The harness is 24078-16E00
You should pay about 50 bucks for both.

The car had been running good until sunday morn. I started it and poof black clouds formed behind the car. I haven't been that ****ed in a while. So I disconnected the battery for about an hour. That made all the smoke go away. This leads me to believe that the ECU or MAF sensor are starting to crap out. If so I think there are a few perfomance MAF we can get for our cars.
I don't know of any upgrades 4 our ECU's. Maybe a non-turbo 300zx. Well if the engine survives and is actually salvagable then I'll get the CAI for it and some injectors and hopefully that will curb my appetite until I can get an engine.
