My pa wants to know..

....if there are any chips you can stick in seccond gen maximas for a little better performance...i dont think so but its worth asking to find out...

since my dad found the performace chip for my moms 02 1.8T jetta he thinks there are chips for everything...

what year maximas are you talking about? I know that the 86 ecu for the maxima are compatible with the 86 300zx ecu. You just got to make sure that the ecu that you get from the 300zx isn't a turbo. That outta give you a little push....also I don't know, but you can check and see if you can change the chips in the 300zx ecu. That'll give you a little more punch.

The only closest way to be chipped is to send your ecu to JWT Jim Wolf Technology and he can reprogram your ecu to your specific liking. Of course it isnt cheap. Depending on how you want it price may vary. I wanna say it runs about 400 Maybe less for a mild tuning of the ecu. Find Jim wolf Tech on the internet and send an email and see what they say for a mild mild tuning of the ecu would be.

He is right. Also, you might wanna look into doing a little engine and exhaust mods. The change in ecu or the chip isn't going to help much.
