update on my 87's problems

First off, i found a pack of 1993 Fleer baseball cards still sealed.. i opened them and found a Cal Ripkin Jr card. woo-hoo big bucks.. well not really i don't know. anyway, i also bought a set of stock wheels for it off of ebay in beautiful condition, got them for a great price too. i know my contacts are fuzzy but i'm not blind, i don't think. anyway i cant find anything i've read about, i can't find the air regulator, and i can't find the cold start adjustment. i found the TPS lol. i haven't gotten my tune up done yet either, but it is on the list. my 'sensor' light is on, i need to see what code i'm throwing, but i'm thinking O2 sensor, which correct me if i'm wrong that can lead to why my maxima is running so crappy. stutters horribly when i give it a little gas. oh! another thing, where can i find that switch to reset the sensor light? i had almost the whole passenger side tore apart looking for that button. For some reason my trunk button doesn't work, i can't open it with the switch inside or the keypad, which makes me think its an electrical problem. well any help would be nice.. thanks

also, what is the bore of our throttle body?

I think those "sensor" lamps are designed to come on every 30,000 miles or so, but I can't guarantee it. if that's the case, there is a reset button for it somewhere. a haynes book has proven helpful in fixing up my 88 maxima, and explains its location. it also describes how to read the computer codes and determine problems. I know on my car, the computer's underneath the passengers seat and there is a green LED and a red LED that blink separately to communicate the problems. the haynes manual covers that too. mine covers all models from 1985-1992.

it may not be pertanant to your question, but I hope it helps anyway.

Even this morning when I started It up, It still ran rather rich, infact it was to the point i was almost sick lol. I'm still trying to narrow it down, but its hard when i have trouble locating things that need adjusting. thanks

Service Manual

OK, here's your chance again to get a 1987 Factory Service Manual. Two are up for bid on eBay auctions. Just do a search on "1987 nissan maxima", you have 2 & 5 days left.

Don't loose your chance again, no one bid on the one I mention to you awhile back. Sold for less then $10, after it was relisted.

Good Luck to you and whoever wants to bid,

AL
