Video @ Lapeer/ Still traction problems.

Hi Guys: One more time @ the track, still traction problems, but this time I lowered the Tire's pressure to 16psi, 15 psi and 13 psi, @ 13 psi I started losing Top end speed, the best was on 15 psi. My son did three runs in his Turbo Civic, best run 60ft 2.105, ET12.149, MPH 123.50.

I know how to drive, and my son drove the car before on the track when the car had less power (ET 13.61 @ 107MPH). It's time for Slicks.......

you might have a tough time getting in to the 12s with 107mph traps. it can be done, but you'll have to cut a pretty strong 60'. might take some practice.

shifting was a little slow and its a supercharger so think lots less tq, but still he makes 140+whp and 75+wtq over me and only traps like 5mph faster. something seems off.

Whats the DA when you race? Whats the actual track altitude?

385 whp, 319.4 Tq. on DynaPack Chassis Dynamometer = approx 330whp,281 tq on Mustang Dyno, or Dyno Jet. Dynapack reads 12% higher than Mustang or Dyno Jet. About the shifting is littel slow because I do not want to break the Trans.

Yeah the shifting is understandable, especially with a 5-speed they're pretty fragile. It's not like it's that slow anyway though. Not hurting your traps much

Hi Neal: I went to the track did two runs w/ the slick on, tire preasure 13psi, and then switched to the DRs, cause the shop did not balance the slick, the thing is I sow the worker getting it on the balance mechine, but it looks like he forgot to add the weight, any way I pulled 1.98 60', 13.29 sec, 105.76MPH. I'm planning to retune, last time was tuned in Mar. 08.

That is my goal, to get into the high 12's, but looks it will not happen this year, unless the weather changes to the upper 60's, and sunny next week.

1.9s is what I was cutting my first time on slicks as well, you'll improve. It takes some getting used to how to launch them, and also getting the nerve up to really tach it up and then just let it go. My first day at the track I started at 3000, then tried 3500, then 4000, etc. If you're not used to running on slicks then it can be a little worrisome.
