RacingJunk.com

Not sure if any of you guys know about this site, but a great place to buy some good stuff.

Just bought a set of Weld ProStars, 2-15x3.5's and 2-15x8.0 for $300. They sell for $700 from Jegs and Summit.

Won't be until next year, going to pick them up on my way to Fl in the fall and bring them back in the spring. Just such a good deal I couldn't pass it up.

Awesome! Do you still have the 16x4 Rx7 wheels? Have you ever had any problems using the Metzlers at a racing event? I can't find a single NHRA rule that says you can't use motorcycle tires. But it's ultimately up to the tech inspector for that day.

I sold the RX7 wheels when i bought these because they came as a full set. I think my new combo will be lighter too, the wheels are 11 lbs and tires will be 7 for a total of 18 lbs and my RX7 combo weighed 24 lbs.

Never had a problem at the track, they never gave them a second glance. Like you say there is no specific rule against them and they are Z rated. I don't think I would use them on a real wheel drive car though because of the extra weight of the engine but there is almost no weight on our fwd cars.

Yeah. I wouldn't use motorcycle tires on any car that exceeds the specified load weight for the tire. On the back on my Maxima, I am easily under the load weight. My RX7 wheels and Metzelers weigh 21lbs if I recall correctly.
