My other two runs were in the 16s. I am willing to bet this final one should have been around a sec higher. We'll see in two weeks.
Oh I see. Unless the car actually felt like it had another 75HP, then that mid 14 second ET is probably incorrect. Just throw it out completely.
It's hard to read your timeslip photo. Your 330ft ET is incorrect if it says 5.5. And of course your 60 foot isn't possible. More than likely, your 60 foot was in the 2.2 to 2.4 range.
On those MM nights, they run so many cars back to back that it's tough to keep up. I remember my one and ONLY Midnight Mayhem event. It had 500+ cars clogging all the lanes. They don't bother to prep the track either on those nights. And to top it all off, a fight broke out in the staging lanes near my car. Your better option would be to make it to an actual Test and Tune session designed for the bracket racers. Other than the actual ET Bracket Series and the NHRA Bracket races, the TnT sessions were the only other events that I ever raced my Maxima in.
Good luck when you hit the track again. I'm sure they had a timing error on that one run you posted. It sucks that it happened to you. It makes the entire 1/4 mile pass a waste. But it sounds like you had fun.

Yeah.. I dabated going to the time trials the following day. I chose to to MM because of the cost difference ($10 for MM and $25 for the latter).
You're right about the quality of people at those events. Lots of gang bangers and other wannabes causing trouble. Even the crew working there was unfriendly. Next time I am going to do the day event for sure. This time, I wont care if it costs more money.

Yeah. When I raced there regularly about 5 years ago, the entire staff was VERY nice. I knew them all since I was in the tower all the time picking up my winnings.
But, you can go to a "Test and Tune". If you go to an ET Bracket Race, you can enter that, but you may only be able to get in 3 time trial runs before eliminations start and more than likely, you'll go out in the 1st round unless you know how to bracket race. But even then, you are pretty much guaranteed four 1/4 mile passes by going to a bracket racing event. And the track will be prepped much better.

Sound like a plan... I wouldn't want anymore than 3 to 4 runs anyway.

Took it out again tonight!! I will have to say that Aaron's torque link does help out a lot with wheel hopping. 1st time I raced with it on. Works like a charm!!
My best time was 15.739 (which still sucked ***). All the others were in the 16s. What was killing me was the fact that everytime I started to race, I would let out the clutch too fast and not give it enough gas. It wasn't until I got into 2nd gear that I actually connected.
I am glad that I finally figured out WTF I was doing wrong tonight. Not enough gas and too much clutch in the beginning.
We'll see what happens in 2 weeks. Looking forward to it.
