Apollos2 6th Gen Winning and Losing 09 vids

Finally getting back to the track, been twice now since adding the headers. I CEL is on for running rich. I gotta adjust the SAFCII to tweak it back a bit I guess.

Anyway, here are some vids. Remember we are at a little over a mile high at Bandimere.

Bummer is that my best times come in races I lost:

Subaru

Chevy Truck

Super bug!? But I had a great time on this run.

Honda Civic - what was he doing? LOL

My big problem tonight was that I showed up with over ¾ tank of gas! I filled it up a couple days ago not thinking and there was no way to burn that much off. I even tried to syphon 5gal out but could get a drop. The car must have a stopper in there. Oh well, live and learn.

Sorry about the quality on this batch.

Cherokee SRT8 (3rd race on this vid)

350Z

Another truck

My PB against an AWD Charger. He got an awesome r/t and that sealed the deal.

I rode shotgun while I let my 18year old nephew drive a race for his graduation gift. I went over and got one of the State Troopers to run him.

Night Race!

That run against the Charger translates to a 14.295 if I did my math right.

Damn I'm so glad I don't live in an area with high elevation. Have you ever driven your car near sea level? You'd be amazed....

When I used to run at the drag strip in MS, there would always be 1-2 state troopers at every event, and would run their cars occasionally.

Correction factor: Bandimere Speedway's 5860-foot elevation http://sitesbytim.com/racingstuff/Al...ctionChart.htm

I have to take some pics of the time slip but here is what I have:
According to NHRA, elevation correction is to multiply .9276 by the ET and multiply 1.0773 to the mph.

This was in my loss to the red charger. I sure wish I didn't have 3/4 tank gas, geez.
3rd run.....................Correction
R/T........ ....0.245
Launch RPM.....2000(?)
60ft...........2.471
330ft.........6.676
1/8 mile.....10.048...............9.321
MPH..........73.19................78.848
1000ft.......12.966..............12.027
1/4 mile.....15.411..............14.295

some posters obviously dont understand the effect the elevation has on your car's performance and times. Good Runs and w/ the correction factor the times seem decent to me. I hate driving up to Albuquerque(5400ft) to visit my relatives - the car feels like a civic up there x)X

The Wed track night is called Colorado State Patrol Test & Tune "Take it to the track" night. The various county police and state patrol are always there. Trying to encourage people to take their races to the track. They were done for the night but I told him the situation and he said he would race

Yeah elevation has it's drawbacks, my CEL is from running rich. I have to back off the SAFCII a bit and see if the come back. Trying to get the adjustment right since installing the Cattman headers.

What' up ILL, yeah man it's always a blast. If I get my launch down I think I'll creep closer to 14.00 flat (corrected) we'll see.
