12.3 @ 112 Naturally Aspirated 3.5 95 auto

Great weekend for rain. Both the sat and sun events got rained out but I did manage to get a few runs in before the rain started. I did another tuning session this week and tried a few tweaks which seem to have worked. Dropped my best et by .14 and mph increased almost 2 mph. Best time is now 12.346 @ 112.99 mph.

Haven't had much of a chance lately to do much tweaking but I did manage to find some time last week and also installed a new set of slicks as well. There may be a bit more there, I am going to put some more time into it in the fall when the racing is done. Planning on hitting it up with at least a 200 shot as well. Its probably time for a fresh engine after 2 years of hard racing on this one, so I will probably do that in the spring. The auto trans is still working great so it will stay unless the nitrous takes it out.

Yes VVT and its being controlled by V-Manage.

Not sure about the highest trap, nitrous doesn't seem to increase my traps as much as lower the ET's. Turbos are best for high traps. I do think it will probably hit 120.

I don't have any video of this run but I will definitely have some when I run the 200 shot. Plus I will run my lightweight tires, remove rear seats, lightweight battery and have a crap before the run etc.

Every time I race this car love the VQ more, its unbelievable in performance and consistency. Last weekend I ran 4 consecutive runs within 4/1000's, but that is due mainly to the UTEC.

Check my homepage for current mods. I dynoed a couple of years ago with the A32 ECU and E-Manage, it was around 260 HP then. I know its higher now but not sure what it is. I am not much of a believer in the dyno for tuning I prefer to do it on the road. Real world performance is much different than dyno numbers. The main reason I went was to compare Sunoco 94 and 116 unleaded. I didn't make anymore HP with the race gas and advanced timing so I just use the 94. When I juice it i will use a blend of 94 and 110 unleaded.

Not really i don't think the 200 shot will make him that much faster. When you run these times its much harder to knock time off, then it is from lets say 15s to 14s... I think he would run 11.7 with 200shot.

Nice times keep it up.

You guys still get 94 up there? You suck Our Sunocos here got rid of it so we're back to only having 93.

While your statement is true, you're not being very realistic. Yes, the faster you go the harder it is to go even faster but this is a 200 (WHP, not BHP) increase we're talking about here, with typically an equal bump in torque. That is nothing to scoff at. It's a 200 shot, not a 50 shot. He's also not exactly shooting for single digit times.

believe me a 200shot will knock off more than a 5-6tenths, I know it gets harder the faster you are but like stated above this is a 200shot and jime. I am basing this off something I read online or heard thru the grapewine, I have a 12sec truck with a 150shot

Hmm i c. That makes a lot of sense.. I wonder how that auto tranny will like an extra 200Whp... weil just have to see. It would be cool if it ran like an 11 flat.

The auto should hold up to the punishment for what he's using it for. He's also very careful in how he uses it. It should do fine

You just couldn't let it be. I wasn't going to show that one until I was ready to hit it with the 200 shot. This run is with a 50 shot untuned with stock gapped plugs. I ran this fri night and just tried it once because of the tune.

I think the 200 will be a bit quicker than 11.7.

PS Jim Jr. was back in the hospital last thur for another bout of surgery on his leg from the bike accident almost 3 years ago. Infection again so he is on a PIC line again for another 6 weeks.
