New PB 1/4 - 02 N/A Auto 13.83 @ 100.05

A New PB for me @ Capitol Raceway in Maryland. It was about 51 degrees I think. My last PB was 13.964 @ 99 last year.

Modifications: custom made intake, cattman headers & "y" pipe, test pipe, knock off evo2 exhaust from ebay and unorthodox UDP. The pulley was the only thing i've added since my last PB and I removed the tranny cooler.

Congrats on the time bighead!! I know there was an org member named blubyou or something like that, that went 13.6. He might not be in the database though. Anyway, Now try again with lightweights!

Nice times for sure. But yeah, you are not the fastest N/A AT 5.5 Gen. I recall Juice and Blu being around 13.7 and let's not forget Jime's 13.3 N/A 2002 (12.1 on spray).

If you check here you will see a better representation for fast Maxima times. The org 1/4 times is not the best place to look because you can only post one timeslip. http://www.dragtimes.com/Nissan--Max...ag-Racing.html

Never ran at the track, so I doubt I'd do anything worthy at first, but the potential is/should be there once it holds the ground.

Main reason why I do not like the drag strip...ya it takes skills for reaction time, keeping traction, and shifting...but IMO that should take a few track times and you should know your car pretty well to be close to mastering it...Auto-X is where I want to go...this coming from a guy that hasn't done either, so don't take any offense

I sure wish you ran at my track. Would be great to have a female counterpart. I am usually the only Maxima there. Great times and you are definately the fastest female and bound to be faster in the future. If you are not running slicks now they would help big time.

PS I want to marry you

no....im running on stockies and just the usual intake, headers and exhaust

no afc, no reflash, untuned and still have same spark plugs (no tune up) since i had the car and 92 octane....lol. i just changed my oil the day b4 and recently put another transmission in my car.

btw: which would help more.....slicks or lightweights?

Slicks definately, M/T 22x8x15's or M&H 23x8x15. Your 60' times should drop to 1.9 and the lighter weight will help a bit too. I had pretty much the same mods when I had the 5.5 except tokico illumina's which stiffens things up and reduce weight transfer.

I ran my quickest time on stock manifold but 3 mph higher on the modified one. Too much low end loss for auto with the modified one.

I would guess at least .1 on your 60' which should be close to .2 for the 1/4.

Wouldn't you say that the VIAS removal would be simple enough and wouldn't hurt low end? I sure as hell know it didn't hurt my low end, but mid-top it helped pull a little better.

SSIM should be in by next week, so ima see how low-end really is and if top-end makes me because of the gain.

Please keep me updated on this! You should dyno before and after to see the exact differences. No one has done this comparison yet!
