Awesome times for drag radials, I could probably not do better than a 13.5 with DR's, now quit messing around with DR's and get slicks. You will put a half second on all other 3.5 4th gens

I actually think you could give SR20DEN a run for his money if you can pull 1.7 60 foots like me. They would hurt your trap speeds a little though.

my suspension is a mess moves like a bobble head 170k on it . My strut rods are bent and they are clicking bad. I need good coilovers . MY car is higher than stock with H&R's .

So how long until you get slicks?

My car has the stock suspension so I doubt it's worse than yours. It has 119k though.

BTW, it would be helpful to post a complete list of what you have done to your car. You guys are all over the map so it's hard to keep track of the exact mods. 00VI?

Ah I remember now, no headers the light weight probably offsets that advantage.

I weighted my car at the track the other day:

Absolute street trim: 2890 lbs
Removed spare, jack, and some blankets in the trunk: 2839 lbs
With me: 2997

Real good run for the first time and on DR's
Kris are you going to optimize your Air/Fuel? or have you?
How did your clutch hold up?
What Rpm's did you drop in, on that run?

00 VI (doesnt line up to heads right)????? ??LOW Pres.. Zone...doesn't sound good..

For what you have just a little more refinement on power delivery (A/F)and you should be in the 12's ofcourse on slicks...

sorry for all the ???

I have no tuning i dont even know what my air fuel ratio is.

My clutch is doing great no slipage and i drop it between 3500-4000rpm and it bogs alittle

And for the 00 vi alot of the air is hitting into the heads my below 5000rpm power is weak i also have no vias its full time on high end mode.I have my eye on some 3.5 aftermarket IM's

up next on the list is two new street tires toyo TS-1's,ksport coilovers, some sort of air fuel tuning device and maybe some new slicks or DR's .
I would also like to ditch the 3.0 log exhaust manifolds and get my CF trunk put on.

MY car will not race again until i get some of that stuff done and my pass axle is bad so it will be unlikely ill have slicks this year.

Wow that is a nice time. Good job. On slicks you could probably pull off a 12.9x as the car sits without too much trouble.

I'm confused as to what about the 00vi doesn't line up? Are you using a 3.5 LIM or 3.0LIM?

If he's using the 3.5 lim, the ports are round, and the VI ports are more oval.

I think u would get a better flow if you used the 3.5 lim, and port matched it to the VI.

i have a 3.5 lower and the way the holes are on the 3.5 lower and dek upper it wouldnt be close the 3.5 lowers holes are zigzaged and dek upper oval holes are straight in a row.

I will dyno my setup when i can and try a few diff stock IM's ,Ill prob end up with either a stock 350z IM or aftermarket. I have my eye on the kinetix 304 SS IM.

But my eyes looking in my wallet and nothings there for mods

I could make the 3.5 heads match the dek lower but i wont do that because then i will be stuck with the dek and a aftermarket one may be better hp wise in the future

good luck on the quest for 12's. One of these days SR20 will get some larger slicks so he can pull some better 60's. 12.8's with 1.9 60's isn't cutting it.

He said he was gonna sit there and watch us work our asses off until someone else got into the 12s. Then he's gonna make his car faster. I think it's gonna take another month or so before one of us gets into the 12s.

If you get headers (probably wait for the new stainless ones), get a port matching IM setup, and put on slicks SR20DEN will be back to work again. I think you have so much potential with your new setup it's crazy.

I mean just with slicks you'd probably be able to hit 12.9

With the headers coming out and your IM/head matching up you'd probably hit 12.8 or maybe even 12.7 Plus with all your suspension stuff you will soon put on.

This is going to be crazy. We're going to be having low 12 second N/A maximas that are used as everyday cars. All those turbo'd people are going crap their pants when they get stomped by a NA maxima. And I'm not showing a bias just talking abotu krismax. This really goes to all who have or will hit this mark, especially SR20DEN.

I don't think headers will give him .2. Both I30Mike and Caesar went from y-pipe to headers and showed no gains in the 1/4 mile. Because the precats are removed by the y-pipe on the 3.0 exhaust (which kirsmax and Nismo are both using), the gain from y-pipe to headers is something like 5whp. Headers give big gains on 3.5's because they remove the precats, while y-pipes are basically useless for them.

Intake manifold is another matter though. This could be like the Mevi all over again. Big time ignition timing advance could do wonders for us too.

thats funny because i had a guy in a 360 HP eclipse that got owned by me and he was very mad he was arguing with me ,he first said where your turbo or superchargewr then i said i dont have one. then he was telling me i must either have a built engine or running NOS. He was british and listening to him argue with me was kind of funny.
He was actually mad like he wanted to fight

I seriously doubt he was making 360whp, sounds like he was talking out of his a$$ to me. You would not be owning any 360whp car with close to 100 less whp and nearly the same weight.
