what kind of times am i looking at?
ok i know nobody likes these questions since there are so many variables, but i am going to ask anyways since my car is down right now and i am not sure when i am going to get it to the track.
2000 auto (with stage 3 vb mod), nothing removed
wheels: 15" millenia wheels with DR's
Mods: in sig
Estimated Horsepower(will find out for sure next week hopefully): 360 whp assuming the tranny holds
weather: 75 degrees
60ft: assuming i could pull a 2.1
what kind of times would i be looking at?

assuming a base 300whp vette m3 does low 13s with stick. u have about much hp as z06 that does mid 12s, u should be able to pull off a high 12 in an auto with over 400crank hp. or low 13s, if the launch aint as great.

I think you will run in the mid to high 13's if you can get traction...I was still having traction issues with my BFG DR's, and I am running the 3.125. I also think you will be lucky if you are making 360whp (don't get me wrong, I hope you are but I just doubt it), you need to remember the auto is going to drain more power than you may like. Good luck and post your results

Well i am just going by stephen max's dyno since we essentially have the same setup . I know since i am auto i have more drive train loss, but i think my 3" exhaust cuttout should easily make up the difference.
I already ran a 14.3 at 99mph w/ my 19's on, 3.125 pulley, untuned, No valve body mod, 2.5 y pipe, test pipe, b pipe and 75 degree weather. Without that valve body the car was taking forever to shift. I'm not arguing or anything, but i would think i would easily be in the low low 13's. I am just hopping for a vast improvement with the new setup.

It would be cool of you got 360whp, but I don't see that happening. stevechicagosc or something like that had an auto, with everything you have plus a 30 shot of nitrous, and managed 345 FWHP 340 FWTQ with an intercooler and full 3 inch exhaust. He managed a 13.07 I believe. He has a fully built level 10 automatic tranny.

It depends on how you drive your car, You can have 500 HP, if you screw up you can end up with 15 sec.

i just looked at his #'s, pretty good. But i still think i have a shot at 360 whp due to the fact that he was still running the 4th gen US manifold, he was only getting 10 lbs of boost, and he only had 3"y pipe and Cat but bottlenecked it to a 2.5" catback. My understanding is that my VI has somehere around 20 whp over his US manifold. I hope to also be running 2 more lbs of boost and the 3" cuttout will not be as restrictive as his bottlenecked exhaust. The last advantage i think i have is the good ol HEADERS which i believe gave stephenmax +30whp over his y pipe. Again i'm not arguing with you guys, just picking ya'lls brain. I am just really excited about getting the car dynoed, but deppressed at the same time since i am still having a vaccum problem and haven't gotten to drive my car in a month. I JUST WANT TO DRIVE MY CARRRRR. Sorry had to vent

I think you are right, only a 3.0 pulley, and he had 3 inch y-pipe and cat and only a 2.5 catback. I believe he did have a VI on the 345 whp dyno. The headers will give you a good bump though. The 13.07 was on slicks, but he had more in it because he was trapping 108.xx mph.
Good luck and post your results.

Wow.... with that much power I'd be pissed if that was the time that I got. When my Z28 had just a 2800 stall torque converter, CAI, and 3.73 gears it dynoed 264rwhp / 294rwtq and the very next day ran 13.216 @ 103.97mph
When my Z28 dynoed 364rwhp (CAI, 2800 stall converter, stock 3.23 gears, NX 100 shot) it ran a 12.116 @ 115.47mph (has a lot more done to it now) with a slipping tranny. Now granted the car also dynoed 435rwtq, basically if my Maxima dynoed 360 and didn't atleast dip in to the 12's a little I'd be pissed.

The difference is the 60 ft times. Your rwd camaro is easier to launch harder. With a stall and slicks on a maxima, the times would be easier to come by. Most guys with maximas don't care about all out racing, so the cars are not set up like they could be for drag racing. Thats why most maximas will have higher trap speeds for the times that they run.

1.7 launches can still be had. Look at Jime. Automatic... and 1.7 60' times. Mardi is knocking on the 1.6 door but he's manual.

I've never run a "slick" on my Z28, the "stickiest" tire that has ever been on the car are Nitto Drag Radials... but I see what you are saying, and I'd still be pissed if I didn't dip in to the 12's with that much power.

Best of 1.762 and that run edned up to be a break down pass (tranny went) but still peddled it to a 12.3 @ 108 for my 12.1 @ 115 it was only a 1.876

The Vortech setup is not ideal for a 1/4 mile race. Its just lacking low end torque to get you off the line to pull low 60's. I think the best possible 60' is probably going to be 1.9 even on slicks with an Auto, stock stall, vortech setup. I think with your setup with being an Auto Id estimate 310-320whp but it would be sweet to nail 360whp. Track times I would guess around 13.7@108ish but until I see a dyno its hard to really tell. As someone stated Jime is pulling 1.7 60's but hes also making close to 400fwtq right off the line vs probably 260-270wtq at 5xxx rpms like chris will be making. Good luck with it all though and I hope you hit your goals.

Jime is not putting out 400fwtq off the line. On his 2k2 he says it will not hold more than a 75 shot off the line, so he's making maybe 290-300fwhp/fwtq off the line at most.

check your nitrous dynos....UncDood is putting down 325 ft./lbs with a 75 shot on a 3.0

think again man, I made 396fwtq with a 100shot and that was without headers, and if you read what I wrote I said close too. With a 75 shot with his mods its at least 340-350fwtq... research a little more. My car made 236fwtq all motor so what your saying is he will only gain 50ish fwtq with a 75 shot? Not hardly....

sure he is(if he is not I am sure its very close...remember he is not launching for idle
also blu is/was auto so keep that in mind when looking at the numbers, N20 adds a ton of tq

Point is you where way off and I said close too 400fwtq which he is depending on what jets hes running. When running the 100 shot jets which he has off the line he is right at 400fwtq. I think I would know considering I had a similar setup, dynos, and track runs spinning the he11 out of the slicks. Next........
