Does taking out your headlight help for HAI's?

I'm going to the track tomorrow and I just wanted to see peoples opinions. Last time I went I took it out late in the day and got my best time the first run I did with the headlight out. I know that sounds like that should be my answer but I just think my car looks so dumb without one headlight. Anyway tell me what you think.

I think that unless your battery is in the trunk and the fliter itself is right behind the headlight it would be a waste. Might as well just take out the corner light, same thing.

Run a tube from your air filter to the headlight and if your brave and want to risk it run no airfilter and connect the tube directly to the MAF. I use dryer pipe when i run a special filter. Its light, flexible and you can duct tape it into the position you want it to stay and costs less than 10 bucks.

Yeah it actually did make a differnce. It was getting air from above the headlight and it was colder, and there wasnt but one more bend in the pipe so there wasnt much resistance. Even if it ends up not working for you, you have really only lost like 8 dollars which i would say is a very inexpensive risk/fun project.
