Anyone use g-tech ?

I used g-tech to check 1/4 mile. My best one were 14.55 @ 103 60mph , 0-60 6.03.
Isn't 103mph little too high ? How inaccurate can g-tech be ?
Can anyone post times from g-tech ?

No way are you trapping 103 with a ypipe and clutch in a 00 5speed. 93mph would be believeable. From what I've read, those g tech things are not accurate for shyt.

Just take it to the track. 0-60 means nothing anyway. who races only 1st and 2nd gear?? lol

the g-tech can be relatively accurate, as long as you have no wheel hop, no turning, etc. you pretty much have to have a perfect run on a perfect surface.... i have had anywhere from a 14.10 or something to a 15.2

Ditto, perfect straight away, no incline or decline, center of windshield, and zero it out good before you launch. Thats how you get an accurate reading. If not, fawget about it.

The new $200+ gtech is pretty close but I'm guessing you used the cheapo $50 one. Your 0-60 doesn't really matter but the gtech is off about half a second, same goes for the 1/4 mile ET, maybe even .6-.8 off.

G-TECH gives you the MPH at what speed you crossed the 1/4 mile marker. Track uses diff type of MPH readout. My Gtech was accuratte to .2 on the ET with my Sentra. Alot of friends of mine use it when bracket racing so they don't break out, basically at the end of the run they shut it down and end up runing times like 12.24@only 92MPH.

Lol....wait a minute...this is sooooo not fair...I got raped up the *** on here for talking about what times I got with my G-tech like a month ago...why the preferential treatment for this guy? Seriously though, the trap speeds are 2-3 mph optimistic, and I'm not sure about the E/T...like everyone has said, the only sure way to see how accurate the thing really is, is to take your car to the track.

I made 9 passes at my local dragstrip with the G-tech in my Max...... I threw out the fastest and slowest and adveraged the others ..... I made 5 runs that were 15.0 to 15.1.... my car is auto and in full street trim (ie slow) I found that the G-tech was about 2/10 slow and about 2mph over on the traps.... so g-tech 15.2 at 91 mph time slip was 15.0 at 89mph .... I did the same test with my 300ZX and found that the results were about the same.... however it's hard to run the same # over and over in the 5spd Z

The timer is probably right, and you just can't get a good launch on the street. No VHT, no burnout to heat the tires up, 60 ft times on the street suck. I love mine, and it has never been off by a full 1/10th at the track. And the MPH was right everytime too.

There's no preferential treatment here.

Time slips provide a more accurate reading of 1/4 times. Gtechs don't. Period (Yes, I've used them).

Thats going off the fact that u say "tuned to 17PSI" the factory wrx turbo is only efficient up to 15 lbs. So, more than likely youd be tuning an after market turbo a.k.a. a VF-30, 34 , maybe a 22..with a decent tune your talking 270's ish to all four wheels, so traction is no issue..only problem u could possibly have is lag but after 15 MPH thats almost obsolete...so somehting here just is not adding up....
