05 max auto vs SI vs 323

I "encountered" a 99 SI coupe(no swap), nice and clean, black, steelies, tint, lowered, I/H/E

off the line, both moderate launches, took him by few cars.
however, from a roll in 3rd, he downshifts 1st, advantage, also a manual, THEN I floor my auto, hesitates, finally starts to accelerate....(didnt use tiptronic to keep in gear) nevermind not catching him, but i lost another car to him!!!!!!!! (he didnt spray or enthing i could tell)

anyone who has encountered SI's, stock or modded, can you vouch for their 60-100mph acceleration?

either he had some cams, or my auto lag really screwed me..... I mean he coulda easily gotten a 10kph/6mph headstart on the speedo... which i think is quite a bit?

if I/H/E is all he had, that might mean i would lose to a stock teg GSR from a roll?

also theirs this guy with a 323 stick that talks mad crap, he thinks he could take me from a stop, he already lost to a G35 by a fair amount...... I told him 15.2-15.4 is what you'll range...... any 4th gen 5spds ever race one?
170 GERMAN HP, under rated, so i guess about 180 185hp, RWD.... 50/50

I stayed dead even with a 98 328 5spd in my 99 SE-L auto with I/Y..... I also had a passenger with me.

You should have murdered both cars. I test drove a 6th gen Max a few weeks ago, and they are definently quick mofos. Better luck next time.

yea all those little things add up in the end, if u didnt have the auto lag and all id say u could have pulled ahead, maybe..

that sucks last time i was at the track i saw an si run a 15.7 at its best and another one hit 15.4 . and i ran a 15.6 with my 96 auto with just an intake... you should of smoked those guys...

The SI are extremely good at highway speed and up due to VTec. Again, this is not a street racing forum.
