Derek, if I didn't keep track of your progress and your ever decreasing et's, I'd say you threw on a 35 shot

Anyway you left out a bunch of details. Weather, were you on street tires, was the track hooking well, etc?

Once again, oustanding run.

Hopefully after I finally get the bpipe in, I could get close to your traps.

I guess you aint doing 0-60 in 6.xx seconds anymore huh?

13's anyone?

Hey, was waitin to see your reply

Weather: Started at 75 degrees, low humidity, was runnin 14.3's at 96.5. The best run was w/something like 68 degrees.

Track was pretty sticky, all my 60's were 2.25 or better.

I was on my stock Turenzas for tires, 34 psi front, ~40 rear.

ya, but I just nailed the start on that run and friggin took off. I've been lightin up the tires for like 1-2 seconds to get sand, rocks, whatever off them (and a tiny bit of heat built up) and then rollin on the gas to start.

Just for reference, with 2.25 60' times I was pulling 14.3 @ 96.5-97.5. My last run of the night i had a 2.35 60' and still nailed a 14.40 at 97.5. Max was runnin strong! Dunno if I want to trade it for a 300ZX twin turbo now. Might go for a street bike in the spring instead... but ya, it was a fun night!

oh, btw, still no NOS! i was beatin some 5.0 stang on one run from the start till he 'cheated' and used his NOS as to not be embarassed by a family sedan... beat me by .08 seconds! (course he trapped at 107!!!)

Hmm, so considering with a 2.35 short time you ran a 14.4x and with a 2.15 you ran a 14.1x, I guess its fair to say for every .10 off your 60', it pays at least a .15 dividend on the 1/4 et.

...Last time I was at the track I was running 14.8xx and 14.9xx at 93-94mph (before berk intake, decent weather) with 2.40 60', yeah no traction, lol. Hmm, just gives me hope.

I know you will find people saying that reducing tire pressure wont help your et's on street tires, but I've had good experiences in getting my et's to drop just by dropping psi by 10 or so. Anyway, something to think about.

Why buy a stick, when you are quicker than them as it is.

FWIW, keep the Max man. It is reliable (more reliable than a 10 year old 300zx) its luxurious, and it just plain looks purty. And it hauls major a$$.

Damn Im getting back out to track in November, doubt I can nail a 14.1x, but it will be fun trying.
