5spd auto altima vs maxes

There's this dude with a new 2005 3.5S model auto. 250hp and a 5spd auto... I think my 4spd auto max would lose to it, the 2k2 auto...... Do u think headers/ypipe would close the gap for me and allow me to surpass him?, or is that extra gear soo significant?

I've also had "5spd" auto v6 accords pass my *** after 85 90mph, nevermind their torque....

My other buddy has the 6th gen max, 5spd auto as well... but the times they pull seem to be about the same as the 5th gen 2k2 2k3 autos, accept for GA2000 i believe.

So in theory, I think an altima can dust our asses, lol

He wants money to be involved, so i need some info in advance!!!

Any mod that will help your top end. Once you go from 2nd-3rd gear is where the 5spd gear box really has the advantage over you. All I know is when I got my Intake and Exhaust on my 03 Accord V6 it made a huge difference. I would assume with headers and ypipe you would make up the difference against the altima. You will lose to him stock vs stock so don't bet without mods!

Would be a drivers race the 5spd autos advantage is from a roll and and at high highway speeds. From a stop its whomever gets the best launch 4spd auto vs 5spd auto.
