going to the drags on sat.(6-05) any lasy minute tips?

like i said, i'm headed to the drags, with my brand new m & h racemaster drag slicks. any tips on stuff i should do beforehand, as far as little tune-up stuff?

i've got about 800 miles to go on my oil change, i am changing my fuel filter tomorrow. i was thinking of cleaning my throttle body, never done that. anyone done that with noticeable improvement?

and if anyone has any tips on using the slicks, feel free to throw those out there too.

thanks!

Clean the throttle body, but put some kind of oil back in there so that you don't get a jerky throttle response.
That cleaner will strip it all off and you need some back on it.

Yeah, go ahead and change the oil.

Make sure you get those slicks nice and warmed up before you race. You can probably just do that by spinning out right before you line up at the light tree.

I bet those things grab like none other.

Don't slip the clutch when using slicks, you will burn up the clutch like I did. You have to side step it.

I would not worry about changing the oil. Fuel filter is not a big deal either unless it's been 30K miles since you changed it.

Where did you purchase those M&H Racemaster Slicks? What size did you get? Side step=drop the clutch, let your foot slide off the pedal to "pop" the clutch quickly.
