what kind of 60 ft times can a auto 02 pull?

we are going to go racing with my buddy's new BFG drag radials... man those things hook awsome. his whole front end lifts up when he launches. i think hes cutting about a 2.0 or maybe a tad quicker.

also, we are putting on his zex dry kit tonight. since i cant search can anyone tell me how long it will take? what should i wire the wires to(there are 3 total) and thats about it. what is the LOWEST rpm's we can spray at? i know in the ls1 cars, you arent supposed to spray until youre past 3200 because of fuel puddling in the intake manifold. anyone have an idea on this? we will get pics too. what should he run with a injen intake, cutout, 75 dry shot zex and BFG drag radials?

also, for those of you looking for CHEAP rims to run drag radials on, try some ford probe rims. the kind that spiral around, they are 16's and will clear the calipers in front. you can run up to a 255 tire on them and they will fit. you should be able to find some used probe rims for like 40 bucks or something.

we are running a 255/50/16

Good call on the 16" probe rims, I hadn't thought of those for 2002s. As far as 60's go, I think one or two guys have managed to get like 2.09 or some thing barely into the 2.0s on street tires, but i'd say the most you can realistically expect if you are good at launching is 2.1s. I don't know anything about nitrous so I will let those guys answer that.

id figure at LEAST a 2.0 on the drag radials... he doesnt spin at all. not even one turn. i think a 2.0 would be fairly easy and possibly lower when spraying.

Im curious to what type of fuel system you will be installing with a dry nitrous kit on the 3.5L. Since we have a returnless fuel system a wet system is much safer and can tap into the fuel line without and external pump or raised fuel pressure on the stock pump. I ran a 100 shot on the stock pump and stock fuel pressure although it was pushing it the a/f was still safe and I never hurt the motor. I can say a 75 wet shot is easily safe on the stock fuel pump and pressure but a dry shot will require an inline pump and raised pressure. I also will warn you about the transmission. Mine didn't last very long while I was spraying and I never made a healthy pass down the 1/4 bc of transmission problems. Good luck with the install,

As far as 60' times one guy here Jime has pulled 1.7 60's but that was on 22x8x15 MT slicks on Kosei K1's projecting him to 12.1@113 with a 100 wet shot and bolt ons. I'd say on drag radials maybe a 1.9 60' spraying before the 60' marker and no better than a 2.0 60' on motor. The stock stall just isn't high enough to rip the 02 Auto out of the hole any faster even with full traction all motor. The best I have done on slicks is a 2.02 so maybe a high 1.9 is possible if everything goes right but Im still not sure if DR's will hold the cars traction at the strip. Hope this helps
